« Bronx » raconte l’histoire d’une équipe de la BRI marseillaise aux méthodes peu orthodoxes qui se retrouve prise dans un engrenage infernal de liens du sang et loyauté de la rue après un carnage dans un bar visant les chefs d’un gang. Un nouveau directeur régional de police arrive alors et semble avoir également un lien avec cette affaire …
Nouveau film du réalisateur talençais (oui c’est important de le préciser) Olivier Marchal après « Les Lyonnais » & « Carbone ». L’ancien flic reste dans son univers avec des flics cabossés, les ravages de la corruption et des scènes d’action. Le récit ne surprend pas, mais exécuté sans temps-mort, il s’avère finalement haletant !
Olivier Marchal réunit pour ce film un casting assez particulier avec Lannick Gautry et Stanislas Merhar accompagnés dans l’équipe de la BRI par le rappeur Kaaris et le cascadeur David Belle. Gérard Lanvin et Jean Reno jouent également des rôles secondaires, ceux de la précédente génération de flic et gangster.
Globalement il s’agit d’un film très sombre et violent, particulièrement viril, qui nous tient certes en haleine mais ne s’avère pas particulièrement divertissant à l’arrivée.

Latest film by the French director Olivier Marchal after “Les Lyonnais” & “Carbone”. The former cop stays in his universe with bumpy cops, the ravages of corruption and action scenes. The story does not surprise, but executed without time-out, it finally proves to be breathless!
Olivier Marchal brings together for this film a rather special cast with Lannick Gautry and Stanislas Merhar accompanied by rapper Kaaris and stuntman David Belle. Gérard Lanvin and Jean Reno also play secondary roles, those of the previous generation of cops and gangsters.
All in all, it is a very dark and violent film, particularly masculine, which certainly keeps us on the edge of our seats but is not particularly entertaining at the end.
