En quelques mots :
Le dernier film des studios DC Comics, s’inscrit dans la nouvelle tendance du DCEU après « Aquaman » abandonnant le 100% réalisme introduit par Nolan et privilégiant la légèreté de leurs personnages. « Shazam » devient ainsi avec son score de 91% sur Rotten Tomatoes le nouveau porte-drapeau de DC et très honnêtement ça fonctionne très bien. Zachary Levi joue à merveille le gamin qui est en lui et la caricature du méchant incarné par Mark Strong correspond à une vision de super-héros d’un ado de 14 ans. Truffé de blagues, « Shazam » se révèle être un excellent film ‘standalone‘ de super-héros tout en étant très finement attaché à l’actuel DCEU pour de futurs films.

Comédie déjantée sur fond de super-héros, « Shazam » tient la route malgré une introduction quelque peu périlleuse ! Visuel et dynamique, le film de David F. Sandberg suit le chemin de la nouvelle saga DC tout en s’appropriant une folie et une répartie agréablement convaincante. Il faut également souligner les prestations de Zachary Levi et Jack Dylan Grazer qui porte un film au scénario fragile. Sans être un véritable coup de cœur ni un très bon film, « Shazam » distrait et amuse (au sens noble du terme évidement).

The latest film from DC Comics studios, is in line with the new trend of the DCEU after “Aquaman”, abandoning the 100% realism introduced by Nolan and favoring the lightness of their characters. “Shazam” thus becomes with its 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes the new DC flag bearer and frankly it works very well. Zachary Levi plays the child within him perfectly and the caricature of the villain played by Mark Strong matches a superhero vision of a 14-year-old boy. Filled with jokes, “Shazam” turns out to be an excellent standalone superhero movie while being very subtly attached to the current DCEU for future movies.

Crazy comedy against a backdrop of superheroes, « Shazam » holds its ground despite a slightly hazardous introduction! Visual and dynamic, David F. Sandberg’s film follows the path of the new DC saga while appropriating a madness and a pleasantly convincing repartee. We must also highlight the performances of Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer, who carry a film with a fragile script. Without being a real crush or a very good film, « Shazam » is distracting and entertaining (in the noble sense of the word, indeed).
