Nouvelle série Marvel centrée sur l’héritage de Captain America.
Trois mois après les événements du film « Avengers : Endgame », nous retrouvons Sam Wilson alias Falcon et Bucky alias Winter Soldier dans un monde changé. Le retour de la moitié de la population après la défaite de Thanos a en effet de nombreuses conséquences dont l’émergence d’un groupe appelé les Flag Smashers aux méthodes un peu trop radicales pour nos Avengers ! Mais dans le même temps le bouclier symbole de Cap’ est recyclé à un vétéran de l’armée américaine, un certain John Walker …
Après l’innovante première série sur Disney+ « WandaVision », Marvel revient avec un style plus habituel mais de nouveau centré sur des personnages jusqu’ici secondaires. Une intrigue moins mystérieuse et plus classique, certes, mais un nouveau succès pour Marvel ! Après une scène d’action d’introduction totalement irréaliste, la série prend son envol dans les épisodes suivants. Si elle contient un bon lot de scènes d’action, c’est bien le développement des personnages, leurs problèmes au quotidien, leurs souffrances psychologiques et les luttes sociales qui sont laissés au second plan dans les films, qui sont ici le principal attribut de la série. Elle est ainsi l’occasion d’introduire de nouvelles intrigues et de rentrer plus en profondeur dans ce monde du MCU en élargissant les horizons et en s’attaquant à des thèmes sociaux délaissés jusqu’ici.
Si « The Falcon & The Winter Soldier » permet de raccorder les grands événements des films en développant Sam en nouveau Cap’, en expliquant les retours de Sharon Carter et du Baron Zemo, la transition de Bucky ou l’introduction de US Agent, la série est avant tout un prolongement de l’histoire de Steve Rogers dans le MCU et permet ainsi d’approfondir certaines notions développées dans de précédents films tout en donnant un nouveau visage à ce personnage-symbole.
Une série qui a certainement un beau potentiel et ne restera ainsi pas une série limitée comme le fut « WandaVision ». Préparez-vous donc pour une saison 2 à venir !

Three months after the events of « Avengers: Endgame », we find Sam Wilson aka Falcon and Bucky aka Winter Soldier in a changed world. The return of half of the population after Thanos’ defeat has indeed many consequences, including the emergence of a group called the Flag Smashers whose methods are rather too radical for our Avengers! But at the same time the Cap’ shield symbol is recycled to a veteran of the American army, a certain John Walker …
After the innovative first series on Disney+ « WandaVision », Marvel comes back with a more familiar style, but once again focused on characters that were secondary until now. A less mysterious and more traditional plot, certainly, but another hit for Marvel! After a totally unrealistic opening action scene, the series takes off in the following episodes. If it contains a lot of action scenes, it is the development of the characters, their daily issues, their psychological troubles and the social struggles that are left behind in the movies, which are here the main feature of the series. It is thus an opportunity to introduce new plots and to go deeper into the world of the MCU by broadening the horizons and tackling social themes that have been sidelined until now.
If « The Falcon & The Winter Soldier » connects the major events of the movies by developing Sam into the new Cap’, explaining the returns of Sharon Carter and Baron Zemo, the transition of Bucky or the introduction of US Agent, the series is above all an extension of the story of Steve Rogers in the MCU and thus allows to deepen some notions developed in previous movies while giving a new face to this iconic character.
A series that certainly has a great potential and will not remain a limited series like « WandaVision » was. So, get ready for season 2!
