Cette com\u00e9die et satire sur le monde du cin\u00e9matographe semble avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 choisi justement, voire con\u00e7u sp\u00e9cialement, pour la 77<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> C\u00e9r\u00e9monie qui se tient comme chaque ann\u00e9e sur la Croisette. Le pitch\u00a0: une actrice et trois acteurs se rejoignent dans un restaurant perdu afin de tourner une sc\u00e8ne de quiproquo amoureux pour un film, mais rien ne semble se passer comme pr\u00e9vu.<\/p><p>Commen\u00e7ant par deux longs travellings, \u00ab\u00a0Le Deuxi\u00e8me Acte\u00a0\u00bb nous pr\u00e9sente d\u2019abord Willy et David conversant et d\u00e9rivant sur les moyens de s\u00e9duire autrui et de se d\u00e9faire d\u2019une personne jug\u00e9e encombrante, puis nous introduit Florence et Guillaume d\u00e9battant de leur rapport au cin\u00e9ma et au film qu\u2019ils essayent tant bien que mal de tourner. Les quatre se retrouvent finalement au Deuxi\u00e8me Acte, un restaurant vieillot o\u00f9 St\u00e9phane, un figurant, accumule les maladresses et suscite l\u2019ire et les moqueries des personnages.<\/p><p>Jouant remarquablement sur le flou entre r\u00e9alit\u00e9(s) et fiction(s), le moyen-m\u00e9trage (80&prime;) de Quentin Dupieux constitue une multiple mise en abyme du cin\u00e9ma, avec au moins quatre clefs de lecture qui se chevauchent et se superposent : celle des personnages de la romance initiale, celle des personnages-acteurs du film de romance, celle des acteurs-personnages-acteurs qui sont dans ce film de romance, et celle des acteurs r\u00e9els dans la vie r\u00e9elle ! De sorte que nous ne puissions plus correctement d\u00e9terminer ce qui est vrai du faux.<\/p><p>De fait, le film est v\u00e9race\u00a0: il nous propose des intrigues suffisamment authentiques pour nous rendre confus. L\u2019on s\u2019interroge ainsi sur le narcissisme des acteurs, sur leurs relations et sur leur rapport \u00e0 leur travail, sur le r\u00f4le fondamental et soci\u00e9tal du cin\u00e9ma, et m\u00eame sur la place de l\u2019IA dans ce dernier. This comedy and satire on the world of cinema seems to have been chosen, if not specially imagined, for the 77th Ceremony, held as ever on the Croisette. The plot: an actress and three actors meet up in a remote restaurant to shoot a mismatch love scene for a movie, but nothing seems to go according to plan.<\/p><p>Beginning with two long tracking shots, \u201cThe Second Act\u201d first introduces us to Willy and David, talking and wandering about ways of seducing others and getting rid of someone they deem cumbersome, then introduces us to Florence and Guillaume, arguing about their approach to cinema and the movie they&rsquo;re trying so hard to make. The four of them finally end up at <em>Le Deuxi\u00e8me Acte<\/em>, an old-fashioned restaurant where St\u00e9phane, an extra, accumulates clumsiness and arouses the wrath and mockery of the characters.<\/p><p>Playing remarkably on the blur between reality(s) and fiction(s), Quentin Dupieux&rsquo;s 80-minutes-film offers a multiple <em>mise en abyme<\/em> of filmmaking, with at least four overlapping and superimposed interpretations: that of the characters in the initial romance, that of the characters-actors in the romance movie, that of the actors-characters-actors in this romance movie, and that of the real actors in real life! So that we can no longer properly determine what is true and what is false.<\/p><p>In fact, the film is quite truthful: it offers plots that are authentic enough to throw us off guard. We wonder about the actors&rsquo; narcissism, about their relationships and their approach to their work, about the fundamental and societal role of cinema, and even about the role of AI in it. In the end, thanks to its five wonderful performers (L\u00e9a Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, Rapha\u00ebl Quenard, Louis Garrel, Manuel Guillot), \u201cThe Second Act\u201d stands above all as a delightful comedy, full of puns and slapstick, that&rsquo;s guaranteed to make you laugh!<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Axel
