Dans la Rome de l\u2019imm\u00e9diat apr\u00e8s-guerre, Delia tente de joindre les deux bouts pour \u00e9lever ses enfants en encaissant tous les coups durs que lui ass\u00e8nent sa vie, son mari et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p><p>Tourn\u00e9 en noir et blanc, le long-m\u00e9trage constitue un hommage envers une \u00e9poque \u00e0 la fois meurtrie et pleine d\u2019espoir, dans une\u00a0Rome \u00e0 peine lib\u00e9r\u00e9e par les Alli\u00e9s et une Italie en plein bouleversement institutionnel. D\u2019une grande th\u00e9\u00e2tralit\u00e9, les d\u00e9cors comme les personnages nous exposent une ville bouillonnante aux murs et aux habitants hauts en couleurs, ce qui t\u00e9moigne d\u2019une sc\u00e9nographie r\u00e9fl\u00e9chie, o\u00f9 les sc\u00e8nes int\u00e9rieures comme les plans-s\u00e9quences fourmillent de d\u00e9tails agr\u00e9ables et astucieux.<\/p><p>Qualifiable de com\u00e9die dramatique, \u00ab\u00a0Il reste encore demain\u00a0\u00bb a cette particularit\u00e9 d\u2019alterner et de jouer avec diff\u00e9rents tons tout au long de son intrigue, ce qui rend ainsi la trame \u00e0 la fois l\u00e9g\u00e8re et s\u00e9rieuse, nous faisant changer d\u2019humeur (voire nous interrogeant sur comment r\u00e9agir \u00e0 certaines situations) \u00e0 de nombreuses reprises. Citons par exemple cette sensuelle et violente chor\u00e9graphie \u00e0 la fois joviale et gla\u00e7ante, ou encore cette si romantique et si dr\u00f4le d\u00e9gustation de chocolat.<\/p><p>Et justement, la force du film r\u00e9side dans cet entre-deux (ou plut\u00f4t entre-mille) \u00e9motionnel qui nous pousse \u00e0 aller plus loin que ce que pensent les personnages souvent caricaturaux (du grand-p\u00e8re odieux \u00e0 la bourgeoise p\u00e8te-sec en passant par la marchande grande gueule) mais tous interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s avec brio \u2013 notamment Marcella (Romana Maggiora\u00a0Vergano) qui nous \u00e9lectrise de par sa r\u00e9volte et surtout Delia (Paola Cortellesi) qui nous envo\u00fbte de par son endurance. Le choix \u00e9clectique des musiques nous invite par ailleurs \u00e0 outrepasser ces d\u00e9calages afin de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir plus profond\u00e9ment sur les diff\u00e9rents messages de l\u2019intrigue.<\/p><p>Car Delia supporte toutes les tares de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 mais porte aussi toute la puissance des femmes italiennes, capables d\u2019\u00e9prouver tout le mal d\u2019un patriarcat abusif et de ne pas s\u2019y r\u00e9signer en se rebellant subtilement puis prodigieusement, par l\u2019\u00e9ducation et par la politique. La sc\u00e8ne finale jou\u00e9e sur \u00ab\u00a0A bocca chiusa\u00a0\u00bb forme ainsi une conclusion \u00e9poustouflante, o\u00f9 les r\u00f4les s\u2019inversent et donnent un nouveau souffle \u00e0 cette Histoire qui donne enfin sa voix \u00e0 toutes les femmes italiennes d\u2019hier comme d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui. In post-war Rome, Delia is trying to make ends meet and bring up her children, while taking all the tough hits her life, her husband and society throw at her.<\/p><p>Shot in black-and-white, the film is a tribute to an era both scarred and full of hope, in Rome just liberated by the Allies and Italy in the throes of institutional upheaval. The film&rsquo;s theatrical sets and characters reveal a bustling city with colorful walls and inhabitants, reflecting a thoughtful set design in which interior scenes and uncut shots teem with delightful, clever details.<\/p><p>Best described as a comedy-drama, \u201cThere is still tomorrow\u201d alternates and plays with different tones throughout its plot, making the story both light and serious, changing our moods (and even asking us how to react to certain situations) on numerous occasions. Examples include the sensual and violent choreography, which is both jovial and chilling, or the romantic and funny chocolate tasting.<\/p><p>And precisely, the film&rsquo;s strength lies in this emotional in-between (or rather in-between thousand), which drives us to go further than the often-caricatured characters (from the obnoxious grandfather through the loud-mouthed shopkeeper to the dry-mouthed bourgeoisie), but all of whom are brilliantly played &#8211; notably Marcella (Romana Maggiora Vergano), who electrifies us with her rebelliousness, and above all Delia (Paola Cortellesi), who captivates us with her resilience. The eclectic choice of music also invites us to reach beyond these discrepancies to reflect more deeply on the various messages of the plot.<\/p><p>Delia endures all the ills of society, but also bears all the power of Italian women, capable of experiencing all the evils of an abusive patriarchy and of resisting them by subtly, then prodigiously, rebelling through education and politics. The final scene, to the tune of \u201cA bocca chiusa\u201d, provides a breathtaking conclusion, where the roles are reversed, giving a fresh perspective to this story that finally gives a voice to all Italian women, past and present. Nella Roma del dopoguerra, Delia cerca di sbarcare il lunario e di crescere i suoi figli, subendo tutti i colpi duri che la vita, il marito e la societ\u00e0 le riservano.<\/p><p>Girato in bianco e nero, il film \u00e8 un omaggio a un&rsquo;epoca segnata e allo stesso tempo piena di speranze, in una Roma appena liberata dagli Alleati e in un&rsquo;Italia in preda agli sconvolgimenti istituzionali. Le scenografie e i personaggi del lungometraggio ci mostrano una citt\u00e0 vivace, con muri e abitanti colorati, a testimonianza di un\u2019accurata scenografia, con scene interne e piani-sequenze ricchi di dettagli piacevoli e intelligenti.<\/p><p>Descritto come una drammedia, \u201cC\u2019\u00e8 ancora domani\u201d alterna e gioca con diversi toni nel corso della sua trama, rendendo la storia sia leggera che seria, cambiando il nostro stato d&rsquo;animo (e chiedendoci anche come reagire di fronte a certe situazioni) in numerose occasioni. Citiamo ad esempio questa coreografia sensuale e violenta, gioviale e agghiacciante al tempo stesso, e questa buffa e romantica degustazione di cioccolato.<\/p><p>Ed appunto, la forza del film sta proprio in questa via di mezzo emotiva che ci spinge a spingerci pi\u00f9 in l\u00e0 di quanto pensino i personaggi spesso caricaturali (dal nonno antipatico alla borghese vanitosa e la negoziante sbruffone), ma tutti brillantemente interpretati\u2013in particolare Marcella (Romana Maggiora Vergano), che ci elettrizza con la sua ribellione, e soprattutto Delia (Paola Cortellesi), che ci affascina con la sua resistenza. La scelta eclettica delle musiche ci invita altres\u00ec a guardare oltre queste discrepanze per riflettere pi\u00f9 profondamente sui vari messaggi della trama.<\/p><p>Delia, infatti, sopporta tutti i difetti della societ\u00e0, ma porta anche tutta la forza delle donne italiane, capaci di sentire tutto il male di un patriarcato abusivo e di non rassegnarsi ad esso, ribellandosi sottilmente e poi prodigiosamente, attraverso l&rsquo;educazione e la politica. La scena finale, sulle note di \u201cA bocca chiusa\u201d, \u00e8 una conclusione mozzafiato in cui i ruoli si invertono, dando nuova vita a una storia che finalmente d\u00e0 voce a tutte le donne italiane, del passato e del presente.
