minutieux et conscient des enjeux historiques qu\u2019il d\u00e9gage, C\u00e9drick Kahn diss\u00e8que avec un travail d\u2019archives le grand proc\u00e8s d\u2019une \u00e9poque. Un proc\u00e8s dont la r\u00e9miniscence met en \u00e9clat encore et toujours les m\u00eames maux.<\/p><p>En 1974, alors que Pierre Goldman est condamn\u00e9 en premi\u00e8re instance \u00e0 la prison \u00e0 perp\u00e9tuit\u00e9, pour un vol \u00e0 main arm\u00e9e ayant conduit \u00e0 un double homicide, il publie un livre dans lequel il clame son innocence et revient sur les multiples erreurs judiciaires dont il affirme avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 victime. Alors soutenu par la gauche culturelle et intellectuelle des ann\u00e9es 70, Pierre Goldman voit la Cour de cassation annuler le proc\u00e8s. Un second proc\u00e8s est ouvert \u00e0 la cour d\u2019assises d\u2019Amiens. Le film traite de ce second proc\u00e8s.<\/p><p>Bas\u00e9 sur une reconstitution quasiment identique des dialogues et conversations tenues au cours du proc\u00e8s d\u2019Amiens, la sc\u00e9nariste du film, Nathalie Herzberg, a men\u00e9 une v\u00e9ritable enqu\u00eate afin de donner au film une certaine v\u00e9racit\u00e9. Sans entrer en contact avec la famille ou les gens pr\u00e9sents au cours de ce proc\u00e8s, les sc\u00e9naristes ont tout de m\u00eame recueilli les souvenirs des avocats de Pierre Goldman, Georges Kiejman et Francis Chouraqui. Soucieux de ce travail d\u2019archives et conscient de la forme artistique qu\u2019ils souhaitent donner \u00e0 ce morceau d\u2019histoire, les sc\u00e9naristes et les r\u00e9alisateurs ont \u00e9galement choisi d\u2019apporter des \u00e9l\u00e9ments fictifs au c\u0153ur du r\u00e9cit dont la pr\u00e9sence de Christiane Succab-Goldman veuve de Pierre Goldman. Une pr\u00e9sence d\u2019ailleurs remise en cause par Christiane Succab-Goldman elle-m\u00eame \u00e0 la sortie du film, son absence \u00e9tant une fa\u00e7on de se prot\u00e9ger du syst\u00e8me m\u00e9diatique et populaire.<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Le proc\u00e8s Goldman\u00a0\u00bb est un film charg\u00e9 de nombreuses th\u00e9matiques qui se rejoignent en un point, la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 seulement, au travers des yeux de la justice. Une phrase ressort d\u2019ailleurs du film apr\u00e8s la s\u00e9ance, une phrase simple et pourtant si pr\u00e9cieuse\u00a0: \u201cJe suis innocent parce que je suis innocent.\u201d.<\/p><p>Port\u00e9 par un remarquable duo Worthalter \u2013 Harari et par de tr\u00e8s bons acteurs secondaires, \u00ab\u00a0Le proc\u00e8s Goldman\u00a0\u00bb est un film de proc\u00e8s, un film de th\u00e9\u00e2tre ou prime le jeu, les regards et les voix.<\/p><p>\u00ab Le proc\u00e8s Goldman \u00bb est un film millim\u00e9tr\u00e9 et orchestr\u00e9, il ausculte avec minutie les moindres recoins d\u2019un proc\u00e8s et nous livre un film \u00e0 la cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 surprenante. Fort de sa direction de mise en sc\u00e8ne, \u00ab Le proc\u00e8s Goldman \u00bb nous maintient captiv\u00e9s au c\u0153ur d\u2019un proc\u00e8s au verdict d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait. Les mots sont justes et sont appropri\u00e9s avec force par chacune et chacun des com\u00e9diens pr\u00e9sents. A trial whose reminiscence brings to light again and again the same old woes.<\/p><p>In 1974, when Pierre Goldman was sentenced in first instance to life imprisonment for an armed robbery that led to a double homicide, he published a book in which he proclaimed his innocence and examined the many judicial failures of which he claimed to have been the victim. Backed by the cultural and intellectual left of the 70s, Pierre Goldman&rsquo;s case was declared null and void by the French Supreme Court. A second trial was then held at the Amiens Assize Court. The film focuses exclusively on this second trial.<\/p><p>Based on an almost 100% accurate recreation of the dialogues and conversations that took place during the Amiens trial, the film&rsquo;s screenwriter, Nathalie Herzberg, conducted a thorough investigation to ensure the film&rsquo;s veracity. Although the screenwriters had no contact with the family or people present at the trial, they did gather the recollections of Pierre Goldman&rsquo;s lawyers, Georges Kiejman and Francis Chouraqui. Mindful of this archival material, and conscious of the artistic approach they wished to give to this piece of history, the scriptwriters and director also chose to add fictional elements to the heart of the story, including the presence of Christiane Succab-Goldman, Pierre Goldman&rsquo;s widow. Christiane Succab-Goldman herself denied her presence when the film was released, arguing that her absence was a way of protecting herself from the media and society.<\/p><p>\u201cThe Goldman Case\u201d is a film steeped in many themes, all of which come together at one point: the truth, and the truth only, through the eyes of justice. One line stands out after the screening: \u00ab\u00a0I&rsquo;m innocent because I&rsquo;m innocent\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p><p>Led by a brilliant Worthalter-Harari duo and a cast of excellent supporting actors, \u201cThe Goldman Case\u201d is a film about a trial, a film about theater, where the emphasis is on acting, glances and voices.<\/p><p>\u201cThe Goldman Case\u201d is a meticulously orchestrated film, carefully examining every detail of a trial and delivering a film of surprising credibility. \u201cThe Goldman Case keeps us captivated in the midst of a trial whose verdict is already known. The words are spot-on, and each of the actors in the film takes them to heart. There&rsquo;s not a false note in either the supporting characters or the extras, giving this closed-door drama a real vibe. \u201cThe Goldman Case\u201d is a story about injustice and the desire for
