f\u00e9ministe, tr\u00e8s envol\u00e9e.<\/p><p>Iris la cinquantaine, dentiste, deux filles, un mari, Vincent Elbaz. Leur vie est ponctu\u00e9e par le quotidien, le travail et les enfants. Un mari \u00e0 priori formidable, tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9occup\u00e9 par son travail, mais lointain, deux enfants en pleine crise d\u2019adolescence, un bel appartement parisien, un bon m\u00e9tier tout semble parfait. Seul b\u00e9mol : leur vie sexuelle est proche de z\u00e9ro.<\/p><p>Iris se sent d\u00e9laiss\u00e9e. C\u2019est lors d\u2019une r\u00e9union de classe qu\u2019une m\u00e8re lui parle d\u2019une application de rencontres. Une id\u00e9e germe aussit\u00f4t. Elle d\u00e9cide d\u2019\u00e9gayer sa vie monotone et rompre cette routine qui la ronge, reprenant les r\u00eanes de ses d\u00e9sirs.<\/p><p>Laure Calamy papillonne d\u2019homme en homme sans jamais s\u2019attacher juste pour se prouver qu\u2019elle est toujours d\u00e9sirable. Au fur et \u00e0 mesure de ses rencontres, elle va se transformer, irradier, et devenir de plus en plus d\u00e9sirable. Les sc\u00e8nes cocasses se succ\u00e8dent : un livre d\u2019Annie Ernaux \u00ab\u00a0La Femme Gel\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb, ou de Mona Chollet \u00ab\u00a0R\u00e9inventer l\u2019Amour\u00a0\u00bb autant de clins d\u2019\u0153il aux figures f\u00e9ministes contemporaines. Les hommes se succ\u00e8dent : le macho, le viril, un Don Juan, un doux, un v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9fil\u00e9.<\/p><p>Le film s\u2019ouvre sur une sc\u00e8ne remplie de sous-entendus : Iris tortur\u00e9e physiquement et psychologiquement lors de sa s\u00e9ance chez son ost\u00e9opathe. Caroline Vignal nous emm\u00e8ne d\u00e8s cette ouverture sur les chemins du d\u00e9sir \u00e0 travers un personnage complexe. Il y a un foss\u00e9 entre le d\u00e9sir d\u2019exister, d\u2019\u00eatre reconnue, vue et ces rencontres d\u2019un jour. Pourrait-on parler de consommation ? Sous cet aspect frivole, cela peut questionner et parfois faire un peu clich\u00e9.<\/p><p>Mais Laure Calamy est remarquable et p\u00e9tillante. Elle offre un personnage attachant \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence sensuelle. Elle assume d\u2019\u00eatre une femme de 50 ans avec un corps qui n\u2019est pas dans les normes de notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p><p>La parenth\u00e8se de la Com\u00e9die musicale est un pur enchantement. Elle rompt cette recherche de conqu\u00eates un peu r\u00e9p\u00e9titives. Laure Calamy a pris un immense plaisir \u00e0 danser et \u00e0 chanter. Elle est tout \u00e0 fait dans son \u00e9l\u00e9ment.<\/p><p>Si \u00ab\u00a0Iris et les Hommes\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9crit une femme de notre temps en prise avec ses d\u00e9sirs et ses difficult\u00e9s d\u2019exister en tant que femme, \u00ab\u00a0Antoinette dans les C\u00e9vennes\u00a0\u00bb lui offrait un r\u00f4le plus fort, plus profond en femme tiraill\u00e9e, belle, sensible, fragile, au c\u0153ur d\u2019une histoire d\u2019amour impossible.<\/p><p>Caroline Vignal filme la femme avec tendresse. Des femmes sensibles, amoureuses, lumineuses, fragiles et fortes, mais toujours incandescentes. Their lives are full of the daily grind of work and children. A seemingly wonderful husband, very much focused on his work, but distant, two children in the midst of a teenage phase, a beautiful Parisian apartment, a good job &#8211; everything seems perfect. The only downside: their sex life is close to non-existent.<\/p><p>Iris feels left out. At a school assembly, a mother tells her about a dating app. An idea sprang to mind. She decides to brighten up her monotonous life and break the routine that&rsquo;s eating away at her, taking back the reins of her desires.<\/p><p>Laure Calamy goes from man to man, never settling down, just to prove to herself that she&rsquo;s still attractive. As her encounters go on, she transforms, radiates and becomes more and more desirable. There&rsquo;s a succession of ironic scenes: a book by Annie Ernaux (\u201cA Frozen Woman\u201d), or Mona Chollet (\u201cReinventing Love\u201d), all nods to contemporary feminist figures. The men follow one after another: the macho, the manly, a Don Juan, a gentleman, a true procession.<\/p><p>The film opens with a scene full of implications: Iris tortured physically and psychologically during a session with her osteopath. From this opening, Caroline Vignal takes us down the path of desire through a complex character. There&rsquo;s a huge gap between the desire to exist, to be recognized and seen, and these one-day encounters. Could we call it consumerism? Underneath its frivolous aspect, it can be questionable and sometimes a bit clich\u00e9.<\/p><p>But Laure Calamy is remarkable and sparkling. She offers an engaging character with a sensual presence. She embraces the fact that she&rsquo;s a 50-year-old woman with a body that doesn&rsquo;t fit in with our society&rsquo;s norms.<\/p><p>The musical&rsquo;s interlude is a pure delight. It breaks away from the search for repetitive conquests. Laure Calamy takes great joy in dancing and singing. She&rsquo;s clearly at her best.<\/p><p>While \u201cIris et les Hommes\u201d depicts a woman of our time grappling with her desires and the difficulties of existing as a woman, \u201cMy Donkey, My Lover, and I\u201d offered her a stronger, deeper role as a torn, beautiful, sensitive, fragile woman at the heart of an impossible love story.<\/p><p>Caroline Vignal films women with tenderness. Women who are sensitive, in love, luminous, fragile and strong, but always incandescent. Laure Calamy is a ray of sunshine that radiates across the screen.<\/p><p>Pascale
