Maestro \u00bb est un biopic valid\u00e9 par les descendants du protagoniste qui nous plonge dans sa vie, du coup de fil qui le pla\u00e7a sur le devant de la sc\u00e8ne \u00e0 la mort de sa femme. Co-\u00e9crit avec Josh Singer (Spotlight), le sc\u00e9nario de Bradley Cooper s\u2019attache \u00e0 d\u00e9crire la vie de couple qu\u2019on ne connaissait pas de cet homme pourtant c\u00e9l\u00e8bre. C\u2019est donc moins un film sur sa musique et sur son \u0153uvre que sur sa vie, au fil de plusieurs d\u00e9cennies orchestr\u00e9es \u00e0 tour d\u2019ellipses longue dur\u00e9e et de plong\u00e9es dans l\u2019intimit\u00e9 de ce couple.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">C\u2019est un r\u00e9cit d\u2019amour et d\u2019amours, une histoire de couple, et un regard intime sur un homme complexe. Le film illustre ainsi les dualit\u00e9s discordantes au c\u0153ur de cet homme avec d\u2019une part sa sexualit\u00e9 et son amour \u00e0 revendre, et d\u2019autre part son conflit interne entre son identit\u00e9 de chef d\u2019orchestre \u2013 homme de spectacle \u2013 et celle plus introvertie de compositeur \u2013 o\u00f9 le cr\u00e9ateur doit \u00eatre \u00e9loign\u00e9 du monde. Bradley Cooper se plonge totalement dans le r\u00f4le et compose v\u00e9ritablement un personnage gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une grosse pr\u00e9paration en amont, un mim\u00e9tisme millim\u00e9tr\u00e9, et un travail de maquillage et de proth\u00e8ses remarquable. Mais si les interpr\u00e9tations et le maquillage marquent plus que la r\u00e9alisation, celle-ci est cependant moins classique qu&rsquo;il n\u2019y para\u00eet avec des s\u00e9quences sophistiqu\u00e9es et de belles id\u00e9es : des raccourcis temporels stylis\u00e9s subtilement mont\u00e9s par Michelle Tessoro \u00e0 l\u2019esth\u00e9tique de sc\u00e8nes telle que le flirt du couple sur une sc\u00e8ne vide seulement \u00e9clair\u00e9e d\u2019une maigre ampoule. Le chef op\u00e9rateur Matthew Libatique fait une nouvelle fois preuve d\u2019un magnifique sens du cadre dans un format acad\u00e9mique (1 :37) et une alternance couleur et noir &amp; blanc nous faisant naviguer entre les \u00e9poques. Bradley Cooper fully immerses himself in the role, creating a real character thanks to a great deal of prior training, meticulous mimicry and remarkable make-up and prosthetic work. But while the performances and make-up are more striking than the direction, the latter is less classical than it seems, with a number of sophisticated sequences and great creative ideas: from the stylized temporal shortcuts subtly edited by Michelle Tessoro to the aesthetics of scenes such as the couple&rsquo;s courtship on an empty stage lit only by a meager light bulb.
