Y tr\u00f4ne le B\u00e2timent 5, habit\u00e9 notamment par Haby, jeune femme investie dans la vie publique et associative de son quartier. Lorsqu\u2019elle apprend que sa barre d\u2019immeuble est menac\u00e9e de destruction par la mairie, Haby ne peut pas rester sans rien faire.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">\u00ab B\u00e2timent 5 \u00bb s\u2019ouvre, s\u2019entrecoupe et se ferme sur des plans larges \u2013 et tourn\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un drone \u2013 de ce mastodonte de b\u00e9ton qui donne son nom au second long-m\u00e9trage de Ladj Ly, r\u00e9alisateur des \u00ab Mis\u00e9rables \u00bb. D\u2019inspiration autobiographique, \u00ab B\u00e2timent 5 \u00bb nous pr\u00e9sente ici tous les enjeux du mal-logement dans les cit\u00e9s, incarn\u00e9 non seulement par son immeuble-mod\u00e8le, mais aussi par tous les personnages qui suivent de pr\u00e8s comme de loin sa longue et lente d\u00e9gradation.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">D\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9, l\u2019on retrouve ainsi un maire r\u00e9cemment [non] \u00e9lu, d\u00e9sinvolte voire m\u00e9prisant (Alexis Manenti) qui cherche \u00e0 d\u00e9truire le b\u00e2timent. \u00c0 ses antipodes se trouve Haby (Anta Diaw) qui vit jusque dans sa chair l\u2019abandon, le rejet et la haine que ressentent et subissent ses voisins et proches \u2013 comme Blaz (Aristote Luyindula) dont la col\u00e8re et le d\u00e9sespoir saisissent par leur puissance et leur violence. Tandis qu\u2019au milieu de tout cela, des interm\u00e9diaires ambivalents \u2013 comme Roger (Steve Tientcheu), le premier adjoint au maire \u2013 encaissent les antagonismes.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Bien qu\u2019il y ait un parti pris, rien n\u2019est blanc ni noir dans ce film : Ladj Ly parvient \u00e0 d\u00e9cortiquer la complexit\u00e9 de la situation des banlieues, o\u00f9 s\u2019entrem\u00ealent r\u00eaves et dures r\u00e9alit\u00e9s, o\u00f9 un simple enterrement peut \u00eatre plus difficile qu\u2019ailleurs, o\u00f9 une \u00e9tincelle peut \u00eatre synonyme d\u2019espoir comme de ras-le-bol, o\u00f9 la violence peut surgir de tout et de rien, o\u00f9 les combats peuvent laisser place \u00e0 la r\u00e9signation \u2013 et vice-versa.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">La figure de Haby, \u00e0 ce titre, est un pilier de l\u2019intrigue. Une juste, une proph\u00e9tesse qui conna\u00eet parfaitement son monde et qui souhaite l\u2019am\u00e9liorer pas \u00e0 pas. Ses discours et ses dialogues, parfois cinglants, nous touchent, nous r\u00e9v\u00e8lent, nous r\u00e9voltent contre cet \u00e9tat des choses qu\u2019il faut changer. \u00ab B\u00e2timent 5 \u00bb forme ainsi un conte moderne, gris et d\u00e9grisant, port\u00e9 par \u201cune Fran\u00e7aise d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui\u201d et dont nous esp\u00e9rons qu\u2019il se terminera bien\u2026<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Axel Chevalier<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-42480e6 elementor-widget__width-initial exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"42480e6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">One of many large housing estates tucked away somewhere in the suburbs, a dying victim of urban policies. Haby, a young woman involved in her neighborhood\u2019s public and community life, lives in Building No. 5. When she learns that her block of flats is threatened with demolition by the local council, Haby just can&rsquo;t stand by and do nothing.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">\u201cLes Ind\u00e9sirables\u201d (literally \u201cBuilding N\u00b05\u201d in French) opens and closes with wide shots \u2013 captured by drone \u2013 of the concrete behemoth that gives its name to the second feature film by Ladj Ly, director of \u201cLes Mis\u00e9rables\u201d. Based on his own experience, \u201cLes Ind\u00e9sirables\u201d takes us through all the issues surrounding poor housing on housing estates, embodied not only by its flagship building, but also by all the characters who follow its long, slow deterioration up close and from afar.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">On the one hand, there&rsquo;s the recently [not] elected mayor, who is casual and even contemptuous (Alexis Manenti) and wants to demolish the building. At the other end of the spectrum is Haby (Anta Diaw), who feels the abandonment, rejection and hatred felt and endured by her neighbors and loved ones \u2013 like Blaz (Aristote Luyindula), whose anger and despair are striking in their power and violence. Meanwhile, in the midst of all this, ambivalent intermediaries \u2013 like Roger (Steve Tientcheu), the first deputy mayor \u2013 deal with the conflicting interests.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Ladj Ly succeeds in deconstructing the complexity of the situation in the suburbs, where dreams and harsh realities are intertwined, where a simple funeral can be more difficult than elsewhere, where a spark can be synonymous with hope or frustration, where violence can arise out of anything and everything, where fighting can give way to resignation \u2013 and vice versa.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">In that respect, the figure of Haby is a key figure in the plot. A righteous woman, a prophetess who knows her world inside out and wants to improve it step by step. Her speeches and dialogues, some of them scathing, move us, inspire us and revolt us against the way things are and the need to change them. \u201cLes Ind\u00e9sirables\u201d is a modern, grey and sobering tale told by a \u00ab\u00a0modern-day French woman\u00a0\u00bb, and one that we hope will reach a happy ending&#8230;<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">Axel
