Apr\u00e8s sa mini-s\u00e9rie \u00ab Esterno Notte \u00bb sur l\u2019enl\u00e8vement d\u2019Aldo Moro par les Brigades Rouges, le maestro italien s\u2019attaque cette fois aux enl\u00e8vements et conversions forc\u00e9es au Christianisme d\u2019enfants juifs italiens par le Pape Pie IX. Son nouveau film met donc en sc\u00e8ne une famille du quartier juif de Bologne qui voit son fils arrach\u00e9 sur ordre du Cardinal pour recevoir une \u00e9ducation catholique. La loi pontificale est simplement indiscutable. Mais les parents veulent r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer leur fils et l\u2019opinion publique italienne est avec eux. Ce combat familial prend alors vite une dimension politique mena\u00e7ant un pouvoir religieux de plus en plus\u00a0<span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px;\">vacillant\u2026<\/span><\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Une histoire individuelle nous emm\u00e8ne ainsi dans l\u2019histoire de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 italienne et de la religion. C\u2019est une petite histoire dans la grande Histoire entrem\u00ealant intime et politique dans un fait divers aboutissant sur l\u2019\u00e9volution de la d\u00e9mocratie italienne. C\u2019est une fresque historique intimiste sur la chute des \u00c9tats pontificaux et le r\u00e9cit d\u2019un juif devenu \u00e0 l\u2019insu des siens chr\u00e9tien pour l\u2019\u00e9ternit\u00e9 dans un syndrome de Rome (oups de Stockholm pardon) construit sur des sc\u00e8nes miroirs et des parall\u00e8les entre religions oppos\u00e9es pour cr\u00e9er une perte de rep\u00e8res et superposer un itin\u00e9raire personnel \u00e0 celui du Christ condensant ainsi l\u2019histoire des religions dans un corps d\u2019enfant. \u00ab L\u2019enl\u00e8vement \u00bb est une vraie \u00e9pop\u00e9e sur plusieurs d\u00e9cennies qui montre comment la religion fracture des \u00eatres, brise des familles, et d\u00e9clenche des guerres. C\u2019est une charge contre l\u2019enfermement dogmatique, l\u2019obsession de pouvoir, et l\u2019obscurantisme.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">C\u2019est donc \u00e0 juste titre qu\u2019elle est principalement film\u00e9e dans un magnifique clair-obscur o\u00f9 le chef op\u00e9rateur Francesco di Giacomo privil\u00e9gie une lumi\u00e8re cr\u00e9pusculaire participant \u00e0 l\u2019omnipr\u00e9sence des symboles religieux mis en mouvements par une musique tonitruante classique aux cordes d\u00e9chirantes de Fabio Massimo Capogrosso. C\u2019est ainsi \u00e0 travers une splendide mise en sc\u00e8ne que Marco Bellocchio nous embarque dans une reconstitution d\u2019\u00e9poque de grande qualit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9cise o\u00f9 l\u2019on s\u2019y croit totalement, ma\u00eetrisant aussi bien la forme que le fond.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Il installe une certaine atmosph\u00e8re associant r\u00e9alisme historique et accents baroques oniriques m\u00ealant drame social et lyrisme et slalomant entre un ton grave et un humour parfois grin\u00e7ant, le tout dans une tension politique maintenue. Pour l\u2019occasion il s\u2019entoure de certains habitu\u00e9s de sa troupe \u00e0 commencer par Fausto Russo Alesi aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d\u2019une \u00e9mouvante Barbara Ronchi et du g\u00e9nialement d\u00e9testable Paolo Perobon dans le r\u00f4le du Pape. De plus une bonne partie de l\u2019intrigue tient au jeu d\u2019enfants, ce qui n\u2019est jamais facile. Le seul b\u00e9mol que l\u2019on pourrait attribuer au film, serait le manque de justification de l\u2019\u00c9glise pour cette lubie.<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au Festival de Cannes, \u00ab L\u2019enl\u00e8vement \u00bb s\u2019impose donc comme un tr\u00e8s beau film multilingue (italien, h\u00e9breu, latin) de l\u2019un des grands cin\u00e9astes italiens contemporains, dont la sortie automnale nous renvoie \u00e0 la p\u00e9rennit\u00e9 des conflits religieux. After his mini-series \u201cExterior Night\u201d, about the kidnapping of Aldo Moro by the Red Brigades, the Italian maestro tackles this time the abduction and forced conversion to Christianity of Italian Jewish children by Pope Pius IX. His new film thus depicts a family from Bologna&rsquo;s Jewish district who see their son snatched away on the Cardinal&rsquo;s orders to receive a Catholic education. Papal law is simply unquestionable. But the parents want their son back, and Italian public opinion is with them. This family struggle soon takes on a political dimension, threatening an increasingly faltering religious authority&#8230;<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">This individual story thus takes us into the larger history of Italian society and of religion. It&rsquo;s a little story within the great history, interweaving the intimate and the political in a tale that leads to the evolution of Italian democracy. It&rsquo;s an intimate historical epic about the fall of the Papal States and the story of a Jew who, unbeknownst to his family, becomes a Christian for eternity, in a Rome (oops, Stockholm, sorry) syndrome built on mirror scenes and echoes of opposing religions, creating a loss of reference points and overlaying a personal journey with that of Christ, thus encapsulating the history of religions in a child&rsquo;s body. \u201cKidnapped\u201d is a true period drama spanning several decades, showing how religion fractures people, breaks up families and unleashes wars. It&rsquo;s an indictment of dogmatic seclusion, obsession with power and obscurantism.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">It&rsquo;s fitting, then, that it&rsquo;s mostly filmed in magnificent chiaroscuro, with cinematographer Francesco di Giacomo favoring a twilight that adds to the ubiquity of the religious symbols conveyed by Fabio Massimo Capogrosso&rsquo;s thundering classical score with its heart-rending strings. Marco Bellocchio&rsquo;s brilliant staging takes us on a particularly detailed, outstanding period reconstruction, completely immersing us in his mastery of both style and subject matter.<\/div><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">He creates a certain atmosphere, combining historical realism with dreamlike baroque elements, mixing social drama and opera, juggling a serious tone with sometimes a wry sense of humor, all the while maintaining a high level of political tension. Once again, he brings back some of his regulars, including Fausto Russo Alesi alongside a touching Barbara Ronchi and the superbly loathsome Paolo Perobon in the role of the Pope. What&rsquo;s more, much of the story relies on child&rsquo;s acting, which is never easy. Questa lotta famigliare assume una dimensione politica e minaccia allora un potere religiose sempre pi\u00f9 vacillante\u2026<\/p><p>Una storia individuale ci fa cos\u00ec scoprire la storia della societ\u00e0 italiana e della religione. \u00c8 una piccola storia nella grande Storia, che mischia intimo e politico in un fatto di cronaca che svela l\u2019evoluzione della democrazia italiana. \u00c8 un affresco storico intimista sulla caduta dello Stato Pontificio ed il racconto di un ebreo divenuto, all\u2019insaputa della sua famiglia, cristiano per l\u2019eternit\u00e0 in una sindrome di Roma (scusa, di Stoccolma) costruita con scene-specchi e paralleli fra religioni opposte, creando una perdita di punti di riferimento e sovrapponendo un itinerario personale a quello del Cristo, riassumendo cos\u00ec la storia dei monoteismi un in corpo di bambino. \u201cRapito\u201d costituisce una vera e propria epopea che mostra durante parecchi decenni come la religione frattura esseri, spezza famiglie e provoca guerre. \u00c8 una requisitoria contro il confinamento dogmatico, l\u2019ossessione del potere e l\u2019oscurantismo.<\/p><p>\u00c8 dunque per questo motivo che questo film \u00e8 principalmente girato in magnifici chiaroscuri in cui in direttore della fotografia Francesco di Giacomo privilegia una luce crepuscolare, ci\u00f2 che partecipa all\u2019onnipresenza dei simboli religiosi messi in moto dalla fragorosa musica classica di Fabio Massimo Capogrosso con i suoi struggenti archi. \u00c8 cos\u00ec attraverso una splendida regia che Marco Bellocchio ci invita in una ricostituzione d\u2019epoca particolarmente precisa e di qualit\u00e0, in cui ci sembra di essere in un universo totalmente padroneggiato dal regista, tanto sulla forma quanto sul fondo.<\/p><p>Crea una certa atmosfera che associa realismo storico e accenti barocchi onirici, mescolando dramma sociale e lirismo, oscillando tra un tono grave ed un umore a volte acido, il tutto mantenendo in una mantenuta tensione politica. Per l\u2019occasione, si \u00e8 circondato di alcuni dei suoi interpreti: Fausto Russo Alesi, accanto ad una commuovente Barbara Ronchi ed al genialmente disprezzabile Paolo Pierobon nel ruolo del papa. Inoltre, una gran parte dell\u2019intreccio poggia sull\u2019interpretazione di bambini, ci\u00f2 che non \u00e8 mai facile. L\u2019unico punto negativo che si potrebbe dare al film sarebbe la mancanza di giustificazione della Chiesa per questo ghiribizzo.<\/p><p>Presentato al Festival di Cannes \u201cRapito\u201d \u00e8 un bellissimo film multilingue (italiano, ebraico, latino) di uno dei pi\u00f9 famosi cineasti italiani contemporanei, la cui opera autunnale ci ricorda la perennit\u00e0 dei conflitti religiosi.
