Le but de l\u2019\u00e9mission : tendre un pi\u00e8ge \u00e0 de futurs pr\u00e9dateurs sexuels en faisant passer des com\u00e9diens pour des mineurs. Chris Hansen entre alors en sc\u00e8ne pour surprendre le pr\u00e9dateur et le confronter avant que la police ne vienne l\u2019arr\u00eater.<\/p><p>Malgr\u00e9 de belles id\u00e9es de mise en sc\u00e8ne et une coh\u00e9rence graphique ind\u00e9niable, \u00ab\u00a0Primetime\u00a0\u00bb manque cruellement de naturel et de spontan\u00e9it\u00e9, \u00e9trange pour un r\u00e9alisateur venant du cin\u00e9ma documentaire. La performance de Robert Pattinson reste n\u00e9anmoins remarquable, m\u00eame s\u2019il fr\u00f4le \u00e0 plusieurs reprises avec un surjeu aga\u00e7ant, voire caricatural. Un choix de direction artistique qui place le film dans un registre \u00e9trange o\u00f9 le film s\u2019apparente plus \u00e0 un immense show factice dont les enjeux s&rsquo;\u00e9tiolent. The show\u2019s goal: to set a trap for potential sexual predators by having actors pose as minors. Chris Hansen would then step in to catch the predator off guard and confront him before the police arrived to arrest him.<\/p><p>Despite some clever staging ideas and undeniable visual coherence, \u201cPrimetime\u201d sorely lacks rawness and spontaneity \u2013 which is strange for a director coming from a documentary film background. Robert Pattinson\u2019s performance remains remarkable, however, even if he repeatedly borders on annoying, even caricatural, overacting. This artistic choice places the film in a strange register where it comes to resemble a massive, staged spectacle whose stakes gradually fade away. The film thus becomes almost a shadow of what it seeks to expose \u2013 a voyeuristic and overblown work.<\/p><p>Sacha
