Et surtout, pourquoi des silos ? Que s\u2019est-il r\u00e9ellement pass\u00e9 dehors 300 ans plus t\u00f4t ? \u00c9tait-ce r\u00e9ellement il y a 300 ans ? Comment l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur est-il mortel ? Qu\u2019est-ce que le retour de la providentielle Juliette implique-t-il pour notre silo ? Et comment a-t-elle surv\u00e9cu \u00e0 l\u2019incin\u00e9rateur ? Cette saison ne reprend pas exactement l\u00e0 o\u00f9 elle nous avait laiss\u00e9 en introduisant \u00e0 la fois une ellipse aupr\u00e8s des personnages de ce silo et en remontant le temps pour r\u00e9v\u00e9ler les origines des silos.<\/p><p>Si la saison pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente se divisait en deux trames simultan\u00e9es entre deux silos voisins, cette fois on a deux trames chronologiques, le pr\u00e9sent et le pass\u00e9, qui se r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 travers deux enqu\u00eates. D\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9 on a Juliette qui cherche \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 comprendre ce qui lui est arriv\u00e9 et \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer comment sauver son silo. De l\u2019autre on a de nouveaux personnages \u00e9voluant \u00e0 Washington de nos jours avec une journaliste (Jessica Henwick) et un d\u00e9put\u00e9 (Ashley Zuckerman) enqu\u00eatant aupr\u00e8s d\u2019une pilote de l\u2019US Navy (Jessica Brown-Findlay) sur une myst\u00e9rieuse op\u00e9ration rat\u00e9e au large de l\u2019Iran. La th\u00e9matique centrale est alors celle de la m\u00e9moire en tant qu\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment constructif de notre identit\u00e9 aussi bien individuelle que soci\u00e9tale.<\/p><p>Et tout commen\u00e7ait bien avec un premier \u00e9pisode o\u00f9 cette trame du pass\u00e9 semblait presque m\u00eame plus intrigante que l\u2019histoire de Juliette tant le spectre des possibilit\u00e9s \u00e9tait large. Mais cet horizon s\u2019est tr\u00e8s rapidement referm\u00e9 avec d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9 une enqu\u00eate mise sous le tapis pour aboutir \u00e0 une r\u00e9v\u00e9lation on ne peut plus bancale sur des enjeux financiers de nanotechnologies, et une <em>origin-story<\/em> finalement tr\u00e8s maigre que les sc\u00e9naristes ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9tirer bien plus que de raison (au point de passer deux \u00e9pisodes entiers \u2013 non pas un complet mais bien deux \u2013 en trajet avec nos nouveaux personnages \u2013 l\u2019un en voiture et l\u2019autre en avion). Sans compter des dialogues assez faibles, des sc\u00e8nes peu cr\u00e9dibles et une r\u00e9alisation (certes tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente puisque l\u2019on sort du silo) mais sans la moindre id\u00e9e et qui \u2013 qui plus est \u2013 casse l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re oppressante et claustrophobe typique de la s\u00e9rie, l\u2019ensemble appara\u00eet forc\u00e9ment tr\u00e8s in\u00e9gal \u2013 au mieux.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30641 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>Mais de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 si l\u2019amn\u00e9sie de Juliette est int\u00e9ressante pour refl\u00e9ter le flou de l\u2019intrigue du pass\u00e9, c\u2019est au prix du recyclage des enjeux de premi\u00e8re saison \u2013 du moins au d\u00e9but de celle-ci \u2013 avant que les enjeux ne basculent \u00e0 nouveau vers la survie du silo. Mais le conflit le plus int\u00e9ressant devient alors celui au sein du couple Sims entre un Robert (Common) nuanc\u00e9 et une Camille (Alexandria Riley) qui gagne en importance et en complexit\u00e9 mais sans que la saison ne lui donne le temps pour \u00e9toffer cette complexit\u00e9. R\u00e9sultat cette trame non-lin\u00e9aire a besoin d\u2019un \u00e9pisode de mi-saison entier pour tout expliquer en flash-back, le rendant certes tr\u00e8s satisfaisant puisqu\u2019il encha\u00eene les r\u00e9v\u00e9lations mais au prix d\u2019une richesse dilu\u00e9e dans les autres \u00e9pisodes. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 une lin\u00e9arit\u00e9 aurait s\u00fbrement plus servi l\u2019ambivalence des personnages et organis\u00e9 le myst\u00e8re diff\u00e9remment.<\/p><p>Mais cette structure a surtout \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie pour aboutir sur un ultime \u00e9pisode de grande qualit\u00e9 qui change de style et propulse la s\u00e9rie dans une tout autre dimension bienvenue gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une inversion du point de vue et l\u2019introduction de toute une nouvelle s\u00e9rie de myst\u00e8res. Cette saison 3 offre ainsi enfin des r\u00e9ponses \u00e0 des personnages en qu\u00eate de v\u00e9rit\u00e9 depuis le d\u00e9part, mais sa double narration ne propose pas toujours des r\u00e9ponses de grand int\u00e9r\u00eat et son choix de structure aboutit certes \u00e0 deux excellents \u00e9pisodes de r\u00e9v\u00e9lations mais dont la conclusion ressemble finalement plus \u00e0 une introduction. And more importantly, why multiple silos? What really happened outside 300 years ago? Was it really 300 years ago? What makes the outside world so deadly? What does the return of the providential Juliette mean for our silo? And how did she survive the incinerator? This season doesn\u2019t pick up exactly where it left off, introducing a time jump for the characters in this silo while also going back in time to reveal the origins of the silos.<\/p><p>While the previous season was divided into two parallel storylines set in two neighboring silos, this time there are two chronological storylines \u2013 the present and the past \u2013 that intertwine through two separate investigations. On one hand, there\u2019s Juliette, who is trying both to understand what happened to her and to figure out how to save her silo. On the other, we have new characters in present-day Washington, including a journalist (Jessica Henwick) and a congressman (Ashley Zuckerman) who are investigating, alongside a U.S. Navy pilot (Jessica Brown-Findlay), a mysterious failed operation off the coast of Iran. The central theme, then, is memory as a foundational element of our identity \u2013 both individual and societal.<\/p><p>And it all started off well with a first episode where this plotline from the past seemed almost more intriguing than Juliette\u2019s story, given how wide the range of possibilities was. But that horizon closed in very quickly, with, on one hand, an investigation swept under the rug that led to a revelation that couldn\u2019t have been more flimsy about financial stakes in nanotechnology, and an ultimately very thin origin story that the writers decided to stretch far beyond reason (to the point of spending two entire episodes \u2013 not just one, but two \u2013 traveling with our new characters \u2013 one by car and the other by plane). Not to mention the rather weak dialogue, the implausible scenes, and the direction which, while certainly very different since we\u2019re leaving the silo, lacks any real vision and, what\u2019s more, shatters the oppressive and claustrophobic atmosphere typical of the series, the whole thing inevitably comes across as very uneven \u2013 at best.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30641 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Snapshot_6769-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>But on the other hand, while Juliette\u2019s amnesia is an interesting way to reflect the mystery surrounding the past, it comes at the cost of rehashing the storylines from the first season \u2013 at least at the beginning of this one \u2013 before the focus shifts back to the silo\u2019s survival. But the most interesting conflict then becomes the one within the Sims couple, between a nuanced Robert (Common) and a Camille (Alexandria Riley) who gains in importance and complexity, though the season doesn\u2019t give her enough time to flesh out that complexity. As a result, this non-linear narrative requires an entire mid-season episode to explain everything through flashbacks \u2013 which is certainly very satisfying, given the succession of revelations, but at the cost of diluting the substance of the other episodes. A linear approach would surely have better served the characters\u2019 ambivalence and structured the mystery differently.<\/p><p>But this structure was chosen above all to culminate in a spectacular final episode that shifts gears and propels the series into a whole new \u2013 and exciting \u2013 dimension, thanks to a reversal of the point of view and the introduction of a whole new set of mysteries. Season 3 thus finally offers answers to characters who have been searching for the truth from the very beginning, but its dual narrative doesn\u2019t always provide particularly compelling answers, and its structural choice certainly results in two excellent episodes of revelations \u2013 though the conclusion ultimately feels more like an introduction.
