Apr\u00e8s l\u2019avoir fusionn\u00e9 avec les atomes \u00e0 Los Alamos, cette fois-ci le temps est d\u00e9sormais en ruines dans son adaptation de \u00ab L\u2019Odyss\u00e9e \u00bb d\u2019Hom\u00e8re. Il y explore un temps perdu, celui du voyage, un temps fig\u00e9, celui de l\u2019absence, dans une \u00e9pop\u00e9e qui r\u00e9invente le langage visuel de ce mythe fondateur.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201c<em>D\u00e9fier les Dieux<\/em>\u201d<\/p><p>Avec un marketing presque uniquement ax\u00e9 sur les dimensions techniques du film, il est clair que \u00ab L\u2019Odyss\u00e9e \u00bb se distingue de l\u2019int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 de la concurrence actuelle, non pas du haut de ses $250M de budget olympien mais bien pour son processus de tournage en d\u00e9cors naturels sur six pays europ\u00e9ens et tout du long sur pellicule 70mm IMAX. C\u2019est ainsi un film qui repr\u00e9sente avant tout un d\u00e9fi technique titanesque. C\u2019est non seulement le premier film tourn\u00e9 int\u00e9gralement en IMAX, for\u00e7ant l\u2019\u00e9quipe de Nolan \u00e0 innover pour tourner des sc\u00e8nes que la taille et le poids de cette fameuse cam\u00e9ra emp\u00eachait jusqu\u2019alors, mais mettre en sc\u00e8ne un tel mythe \u00e0 travers la volont\u00e9 de r\u00e9alisme et d\u2019immersion de Nolan qui induit de n\u2019utiliser que des effets pratiques, n\u2019en est que d\u2019autant plus impressionnant. Il nous embarque ainsi dans un grand voyage \u00e0 des ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re des blockbusters d\u2019Hollywood sur fonds verts dont la photo min\u00e9rale de Hoyte van Hoytema et la B.O. gutturale de Ludwig G\u00f6ransson cr\u00e9ent une v\u00e9ritable exp\u00e9rience de salle ! La mise en sc\u00e8ne impr\u00e9gn\u00e9e de r\u00e9alisme offre des s\u00e9quences visc\u00e9rales \u00e0 l\u2019image des temp\u00eates de la mer \u00c9g\u00e9e, ou de l\u2019angoisse des boyaux du Cheval de Troie et de la terreur (notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un sid\u00e9rant travail sonore) de la grotte du cyclope. Il ose aller jusqu\u2019au d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able avec une remarquable sc\u00e8ne de transformation chez Circ\u00e9 telle une plasticienne en furie, pour finir en apoth\u00e9ose avec la s\u00e9quence de la <em>Nekuia<\/em> telle une arm\u00e9e des ombres qui prend vie sur une terre de d\u00e9solation. Ce n\u2019est pas un blockbuster qui cherche un renouveau de gigantisme, son point de vue reste intime sur les tourments de son protagoniste (et de sa famille). C\u2019est un p\u00e9plum anti-h\u00e9ro\u00efque dont la l\u00e9gendaire ruse du h\u00e9ros ne fait que d\u00e9fier les Dieux et attiser leur col\u00e8re. Le v\u00e9ritable sujet de cette \u00ab Odyss\u00e9e \u00bb n\u2019est ainsi pas l\u2019ire de Pos\u00e9idon au gr\u00e9 de l\u2019infini retour \u00e0 Ithaque d\u2019Ulysse, mais plut\u00f4t sa m\u00e9moire et sa culpabilit\u00e9. Au final, le sujet n\u2019est pas l\u2019impossibilit\u00e9 de rentrer chez lui, mais celle de redevenir lui-m\u00eame. Derri\u00e8re les cr\u00e9atures mythologiques, c\u2019est bien le poids des morts, des remords et des choix pass\u00e9s qu\u2019il affrontera sans rel\u00e2che. Et en cela, cette \u00ab Odyss\u00e9e \u00bb se distingue des classiques du genre o\u00f9 l\u2019objectif du voyage est une conqu\u00eate et l\u2019exploit du h\u00e9ros change le monde quand ici il ne cherche qu\u2019\u00e0 le r\u00e9int\u00e9grer. Pour le dire autrement, c\u2019est une \u00e9pop\u00e9e dont le protagoniste r\u00e9alise progressivement qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas un h\u00e9ros et cela se traduit visuellement par l\u2019absence du symbole m\u00eame des h\u00e9ros de Troie, Achille (dont on ne voit que l\u2019armure vide suite \u00e0 sa mort), mais aussi par la mise en sc\u00e8ne d\u2019Agamemnon quasiment toujours film\u00e9 de dos et dont on ne voit presque jamais le visage, dans une armure dont la silhouette rappelle celle d\u2019un certain Vador et lui donne cette image de conqu\u00e9rant, cette allure de chef supr\u00eame va-t-en-guerre. Ici, les Grecs sont des bouchers sans piti\u00e9 quand, rien qu\u2019\u00e0 la couleur de l\u2019armure des Troyens, l\u2019on per\u00e7oit qu\u2019ils sont les gentils du conte qui est ici racont\u00e9 par les vainqueurs et terrasseurs.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-29261 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Snapshot_6472.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Snapshot_6472.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Snapshot_6472-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Snapshot_6472-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Snapshot_6472-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201c<em>La structure n\u2019est rien si on en m\u00e9prise le sens<\/em>\u201d<\/p><p>Mais raconter l\u2019histoire sous cet angle implique de modifier la structure de l\u2019\u0153uvre originale, ce que Nolan r\u00e9ussit remarquablement avec une narration \u00e0 nouveau non-lin\u00e9aire qui parvient \u00e0 juxtaposer les \u00e9poques et les points de vue de mani\u00e8re toujours tr\u00e8s fluide et claire. Sa trame \u00e9clat\u00e9e retrace le parcours d\u2019un Ulysse cherchant \u00e0 recomposer une m\u00e9moire enfouie jouant \u00e0 nouveau sur l\u2019\u00e9coulement du temps entre des s\u00e9quences s\u2019\u00e9talant sur quelques heures et d\u2019autres sur des ann\u00e9es. Mais elle lui permet aussi de construire le suspense autrement pour le maintenir jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin sur une \u0153uvre pourtant connue de toutes et tous dans une structure accumulant les enjeux \u00e0 mesure que les 2h52 d\u00e9filent \u00e0 pleines voiles pour aboutir sur un d\u00e9nouement \u00e0 plusieurs niveaux. Ce r\u00e9cit fragment\u00e9 est aussi l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de multiplier les variations historiques du m\u00eame \u00e9pisode \u2013 \u00e0 l\u2019instar d\u2019un mythe racont\u00e9 \u00e0 maintes reprises au fil des si\u00e8cles \u2013 comme le pi\u00e8ge du Cheval racont\u00e9 une premi\u00e8re fois dans sa dimension de gloire chant\u00e9e avant d\u2019\u00eatre revue par d\u2019autres personnages sous un angle plus sombre et d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9. Et en revenant sur la prise de Troie comme un facteur d\u00e9terminant de l\u2019\u00e9pop\u00e9e tourment\u00e9e d\u2019Ulysse, Nolan n\u2019adapte certes pas l\u2019Iliade et l\u2019Odyss\u00e9e dans la m\u00eame histoire, mais il en fait un film qui a la port\u00e9e des deux\u00a0!<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201c<em>Dix ans de rage s\u2019\u00e9taient d\u00e9vers\u00e9s en une nuit<\/em>\u201d<\/p><p>Mais si Nolan adapte la structure pour \u00e9largir son propos, il conserve n\u00e9anmoins l\u2019architecture des chants originaux s\u2019ouvrant ainsi sur la T\u00e9l\u00e9machie pour ne trouver son protagoniste-perdu qu\u2019apr\u00e8s un long prologue. Cette fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 produit paradoxalement une certaine modernit\u00e9 qui se retrouve dans les th\u00e9matiques qui se d\u00e9gagent de cette adaptation\u00a0: le poids du souvenir, l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de la culpabilit\u00e9 et la reconqu\u00eate d\u2019une existence ordinaire apr\u00e8s la guerre. Il en ressort ainsi plus les exp\u00e9riences humaines qui traversent cet \u00e9prouvant voyage que ses \u00e9tapes en tant que telles dans une adaptation qui ancre \u00e0 hauteur d\u2019hommes son r\u00e9cit en ne montrant distinctement aucun Dieu. M\u00eame le visage de Tir\u00e9sias n\u2019est qu\u2019\u00e0 moiti\u00e9 discernable chez Had\u00e8s. Seule la d\u00e9esse Ath\u00e9na est clairement visible \u00e0 Ulysse telle une pr\u00e9sence spectrale. Mais alors pourquoi\u00a0? Comment Ulysse pourrait-il discerner clairement Ath\u00e9na s\u2019il ne peut le faire pour les autres Dieux\u00a0?
