\u00bb, Rodrigo Sorogoyen scrute les fissures de l\u2019absence dans un film ma\u00eetris\u00e9 mais avec quelques longueurs.<\/p><p>Un c\u00e9l\u00e8bre r\u00e9alisateur espagnol oscaris\u00e9 et install\u00e9 depuis plus de 15 ans \u00e0 Los Angeles revient en Espagne pour tourner son nouveau film. Il reprend contact avec Emilia, sa fille qu\u2019il n\u2019a pas vue depuis 13 ans pour lui proposer un des r\u00f4les principaux.<\/p><p>Assez proche dans son synopsis de \u00ab\u00a0Valeur sentimentale\u00a0\u00bb r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Joachim Trier l\u2019an dernier, \u00ab\u00a0L\u2019\u00eatre aim\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb trace une narration totalement diff\u00e9rente o\u00f9 les passions s\u2019expriment avec ferveur.<\/p><p>D\u00e8s sa s\u00e9quence d\u2019ouverture, Rodrigo Sorogoyen nous installe dans les contours malaisants de l\u2019absence o\u00f9 la ranc\u0153ur vient noyer la joie des retrouvailles. Une s\u00e9quence mise en sc\u00e8ne avec un redoutable sens du rythme et du montage. Une mise en sc\u00e8ne de l\u2019\u00e9touffement, du cadrage impr\u00e9cis et de plus en plus serr\u00e9. Une s\u00e9quence que le r\u00e9alisateur de \u00ab As Bestas \u00bb a pr\u00e9par\u00e9e avec une certaine exigence, interdisant aux com\u00e9diens de se rencontrer avant le tournage de cette sc\u00e8ne. Une s\u00e9quence bas\u00e9e en grande partie sur l\u2019improvisation de ses com\u00e9diens et sur une installation sc\u00e9nique singuli\u00e8re avec la mise en place de plusieurs cam\u00e9ras cach\u00e9es.<\/p><p>Le r\u00e9alisateur de \u00ab\u00a0El Reino\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9montre dans ce nouveau film son go\u00fbt aiguis\u00e9 pour la mise en sc\u00e8ne en jouant sur les formats, les couleurs et le son, dans une mise en ab\u00eeme au sens artistique \u00e9vident.<\/p><p>En travaillant sur cette relation dysfonctionnelle, Sorogoyen se joue de nos sentiments et percute nos attentes. Alors que dire de ce duo si puissant dont la force de Javier Bardem n\u2019\u00e9clipse \u00e0 aucun moment la rage int\u00e9rieure de Victoria Luengo. Pas aussi fort et surprenant dans sa structure que \u00ab As Bestas \u00bb, ce nouveau Sorogoyen d\u00e9montre malgr\u00e9 tout une immense finesse dans son traitement visuel et narratif d\u2019un r\u00e9cit plus subjectif qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019accoutum\u00e9e. He reconnects with Emilia, his daughter whom he hasn\u2019t seen in 13 years, to offer her one of the leading roles.<\/p><p>While its plot is somewhat similar to \u201cSentimental Value\u201d, directed by Joachim Trier last year, \u201cThe Beloved\u201d unfolds a completely different narrative in which passions are expressed with fervor.<\/p><p>From the very first scene, Rodrigo Sorogoyen immerses us in the unsettling atmosphere of absence, where bitterness drowns out the joy of reunion. A sequence directed with a formidable sense of pace and editing. It is a scene of suffocation, with framing that is imprecise and grows increasingly tight. A sequence that the director of \u201cAs Bestas\u201d prepared with great care, forbidding the actors from meeting before filming this scene. A sequence based largely on the actors\u2019 improvisation and on a unique set design featuring the use of several hidden cameras.<\/p><p>In this new film, the director of \u201cEl Reino\u201d demonstrates his keen eye for direction by playing with aspect ratios, colors, and sound, in a <em>mise en ab\u00eeme<\/em> of obvious artistic intent.<\/p><p>By exploring this dysfunctional relationship, Sorogoyen plays with our emotions and subverts our expectations. And what can be said of this powerful duo, in which Javier Bardem\u2019s intensity never overshadows Victoria Luengo\u2019s inner rage? Not as powerful or surprising in its structure as \u201cAs Bestas\u201d, this new Sorogoyen film nonetheless displays incredible finesse in its visual and narrative approach to a story that is more subjective than the director\u2019s usual work. Vuelve a ponerse en contacto con Emilia, su hija, a la que no ha visto desde hace trece a\u00f1os, para ofrecerle uno de los papeles principales.<\/p><p>Aunque su sinopsis se asemeja bastante a la de \u00abValor sentimental\u00bb, dirigida por Joachim Trier el a\u00f1o pasado, \u00abEl Ser Querido\u00bb traza una narraci\u00f3n totalmente diferente en la que las pasiones se expresan con fervor.<\/p><p>Desde su secuencia inicial, Rodrigo Sorogoyen nos sumerge en los inquietantes contornos de la ausencia, donde el rencor ahoga la alegr\u00eda del reencuentro. Una secuencia dirigida con un formidable sentido del ritmo y del montaje. Una puesta en escena que transmite opresi\u00f3n, con un encuadre impreciso y cada vez m\u00e1s ajustado. Una secuencia que el director de \u00abAs Bestas\u00bb prepar\u00f3 con cierta exigencia, prohibiendo a los actores que se vieran antes del rodaje de esta escena. Una secuencia basada en gran parte en la improvisaci\u00f3n de sus actores y en una singular puesta en escena con la instalaci\u00f3n de varias c\u00e1maras ocultas.<\/p><p>El director de \u00abEl Reino\u00bb demuestra en esta nueva pel\u00edcula su agudo gusto por la puesta en escena, jugando con los formatos, los colores y el sonido, en un juego de espejos con un claro sentido art\u00edstico.<\/p><p>Al trabajar sobre esta relaci\u00f3n disfuncional, Sorogoyen juega con nuestros sentimientos y sacude nuestras expectativas. \u00bfQu\u00e9 decir entonces de este d\u00fao tan poderoso, en el que la fuerza de Javier Bardem no eclipsa en ning\u00fan momento la rabia interior de Victoria Luengo? Aunque no tan impactante y sorprendente en su estructura como \u00abAs Bestas\u00bb, esta nueva pel\u00edcula de Sorogoyen demuestra, a pesar de todo, una inmensa delicadeza en su tratamiento visual y narrativo de una historia m\u00e1s subjetiva de lo habitual.
