Mais la mission s\u2019av\u00e8re plus compliqu\u00e9e et entra\u00eene Bond dans les machinations d\u2019un myst\u00e9rieux ennemi m\u00ealant le pass\u00e9 de James et de Madeleine \u2026<\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s un premier projet de Danny Boyle et de multiples reports, le 25<sup>e<\/sup> opus de la saga anglaise sort enfin sur nos \u00e9crans. C\u2019est donc l\u2019Am\u00e9ricain Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of no nation ; True Detective) qui r\u00e9alise \u00ab Mourir peut attendre \u00bb avec <em>el Maestro<\/em> Hans Zimmer \u00e0 la B.O. et la jeune Billie Eilish qui interpr\u00e8te la chanson du g\u00e9n\u00e9rique (oscaris\u00e9e).<\/p><p>Daniel Craig est de retour pour son dernier r\u00f4le dans le costume de 007 et la mission est globalement r\u00e9ussie. On passe vraiment un bon moment devant ces 2h43 de sc\u00e8nes d\u2019action et de poursuites chor\u00e9graphi\u00e9es au nanom\u00e8tre, et de conclusion faisant revenir l\u2019ensemble des connaissances de James tout en permettant une bonne progression des personnages \u2013 bien que les r\u00f4les secondaires soient peu utilis\u00e9s. Le film innove sur plusieurs points tout en reprenant l\u2019ensemble des codes de la saga en bon embl\u00e8me de la fin d\u2019une \u00e8re diff\u00e9rente. Certaines introductions comme celles des personnages de Lashana Lynch et Ana de Armas sont ainsi tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussies.<\/p><p>N\u00e9anmoins, \u00ab Mourir peut attendre \u00bb faiblit dans le 3<sup>e<\/sup> acte avec un m\u00e9chant qui devient tout d\u2019un coup caricatural et perd toute identit\u00e9 alors que ses motivations et son plan \u00e9taient jusque-l\u00e0 parfaitement compr\u00e9hensibles et logiques. L\u2019ennemi de James n\u2019est donc pas aussi m\u00e9morable cette fois-ci, et ce ne sont ni ses insignifiants sbires ni la performance de Rami Malek, aussi correct soit-elle, qui parviendront \u00e0 le revaloriser. Daniel Craig en revanche est au top de sa forme dans un r\u00f4le plus intime qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019accoutum\u00e9e avec une L\u00e9a Seydoux qui parvient \u00e0 r\u00e9ellement donner une profondeur \u00e0 son personnage.<\/p><p>Un 25<sup>e<\/sup> opus agr\u00e9able, bien jou\u00e9 et bien r\u00e9alis\u00e9 avec quelques tr\u00e8s beaux plans rien que pour vos yeux, mais qui souffre donc de faiblesses sc\u00e9naristiques. But the mission turns out to be more complicated and leads Bond into the machinations of a mysterious villain blending James and Madeleine&rsquo;s pasts&#8230;<\/p><p>After a first draft from Danny Boyle, and multiple delays the 25<sup>th<\/sup> instalment of the British franchise is finally released in theatres. It is the American Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of no nation; True Detective) who directs \u201cNo Time to Die\u201d with the Maestro Hans Zimmer composing the soundtrack and the young Billie Eilish performing the theme song (that won the Oscar).<\/p><p>Daniel Craig is back for his last role in the 007 suit and the mission is overall a success. We really have a good time watching these 163 minutes of action scenes and chases choreographed to the nanometre and this conclusion bringing back all of James&rsquo;s acquaintances while allowing the characters to grow \u2013 even if the supporting roles are hardly used. The film is innovating on several points while at the same time taking up all the codes of the saga as a fitting symbol of the end of a distinct era. Some introductions like those of the characters of Lashana Lynch and Ana de Armas are therefore very well done.<\/p><p>Nonetheless, \u201cNo Time to Die\u201d fails in the third act with a villain who suddenly becomes a caricature and loses all identity while his motivations and his plan were perfectly understandable and logical until then. James&rsquo; nemesis is therefore simply not memorable this time, and neither his trivial henchmen nor Rami Malek&rsquo;s performance, no matter how decent, will manage to elevate him. Daniel Craig on the other hand is at his best in a more intimate role than usual and L\u00e9a Seydoux manages to really give depth to her character.<\/p><p>An enjoyable 25<em>th<\/em> film, well-acted and well-directed with some beautiful shots for your eyes only, but which suffers from some script weaknesses. Clearly below the excellent \u201cSkyfall\u201d and \u201cCasino Royale\u201d it remains however a good James Bond and a very satisfying conclusion of the Craig era.<\/p><p>Rapha\u00ebl
