profite donc d\u2019un peu plus de libert\u00e9s au sein du foyer familial que ses deux s\u0153urs a\u00een\u00e9es, elle est aussi la plus diff\u00e9rente du trio, la plus taiseuse, la moins f\u00e9minine et la meilleure \u00e9l\u00e8ve. Elle s\u2019adonne autant \u00e0 ses pri\u00e8res qu\u2019au football ou \u00e0 ses \u00e9tudes qu\u2019elle prend tr\u00e8s au s\u00e9rieux. Au lyc\u00e9e, elle \u00e9volue dans un milieu plut\u00f4t masculin, elle parle et se fait respecter comme ses potes gar\u00e7ons, mais \u00e9vite de se faire trop remarquer. Malgr\u00e9 une relation en cours, elle n\u2019est pas franchement amoureuse et au fond d\u2019elle-m\u00eame, sans le moindre doute, elle sait. Mais d\u2019o\u00f9 elle vient, c\u2019est quelque chose de singuli\u00e8rement compliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 assumer et, pense-t-elle, impossible \u00e0 exprimer. L\u2019entr\u00e9e \u00e0 la fac et dans la vie citadine de la capitale parisienne, va lui ouvrir un nouveau monde bousculant ses certitudes et ses valeurs, et lui permettre, peut-\u00eatre, de se lib\u00e9rer et de s\u2019\u00e9manciper \u2026<\/p><p>Si le troisi\u00e8me film derri\u00e8re la cam\u00e9ra d\u2019Hafsia Herzi, s\u2019impose comme un r\u00e9cit universel \u00e0 la fois dans sa dimension d\u2019assomption existentielle et en abordant le sujet encore tr\u00e8s tabou de la sexualit\u00e9 &amp; de la religion, c\u2019est avant tout un portrait. Adapt\u00e9 du roman autobiographique de Fatima Daas, \u00ab\u00a0La petite derni\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb dresse ainsi le portrait d\u2019une jeune fille fran\u00e7aise, arabe, banlieusarde, musulmane et lesbienne. C\u2019est le portrait d\u2019une jeune femme d\u00e9chir\u00e9e entre sa foi et son d\u00e9sir, un fragment de vie qui explore la complexit\u00e9 de sa situation entre le lyc\u00e9e et les \u00e9tudes, entre l\u2019enfant et l\u2019adulte, une intersection charni\u00e8re d\u2019exploration personnelle et de remises en question qui ici construit un cheminement int\u00e9rieur sur une temporalit\u00e9 d\u2019une ann\u00e9e au gr\u00e9 d\u2019ellipses saisonni\u00e8res.<\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s son C\u00e9sar en f\u00e9vrier dernier pour \u00ab\u00a0Borgo\u00a0\u00bb, Hafsia Herzi signe ici un beau film qui m\u00eale une atmosph\u00e8re naturaliste et romantique dans de beaux jeux de couleurs (notamment la nuit ou dans les bars) et sur une belle musique d\u2019Amine Bouhafa. L\u2019actrice-r\u00e9alisatrice met beaucoup en valeur ses personnages \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran en filmant les corps avec amour et tendresse, et les larmes avec pudeur et douceur. Sa mise en sc\u00e8ne se lib\u00e8re, \u00e0 l\u2019image de sa protagoniste, d\u00e8s l\u2019entr\u00e9e \u00e0 la fac avec moins de gros plans, et un personnage plus vu sous l\u2019angle du groupe et de la foule. Si elle reprend bien certains codes de l\u2019\u00e9cole d\u2019Abdellatif Kechiche, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ce dernier poussait \u00e0 l\u2019exc\u00e8s, elle, vire plut\u00f4t vers la nuance et l\u2019\u00e9pure dans une tonalit\u00e9 empreinte d\u2019espoir.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-23374 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Snapshot_4845.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Snapshot_4845.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Snapshot_4845-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Snapshot_4845-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Snapshot_4845-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>Dans son film, on fait corps avec ce personnage principal aussi sensible et discret que fort et d\u00e9termin\u00e9, que la jeune Nadia Melliti \u2013 dont c\u2019est le premier r\u00f4le, d\u00e9couverte apr\u00e8s un an de casting \u2013 incarne avec une rare intensit\u00e9 \u00e0 travers ses doutes, ses h\u00e9sitations et sa fragilit\u00e9. Il y a peu du jeu d\u2019Hafsia Herzi (Le Ravissement\u00a0; La Graine et le Mulet) dans cette premi\u00e8re interpr\u00e9tation magn\u00e9tique. C\u2019est un personnage tr\u00e8s renferm\u00e9 qui se mure dans le silence \u00e0 l\u2019ombre de l\u2019incompr\u00e9hension \u2013 ou pire \u2013 du rejet de sa famille et de sa religion, \u00e0 l\u2019oppos\u00e9 d\u2019un personnage beaucoup plus expressif qui repr\u00e9sente aussi toutes les fissures que l\u2019assomption de cette identit\u00e9 sexuelle et relationnelle peut causer dans une nouvelle subtile partition de Ji-min Park (Retour \u00e0 S\u00e9oul).<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0La petite derni\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb s\u2019impose ainsi comme un film vibrant et sensuel \u00e0 la fois pudique et frontal qui se d\u00e9tache de \u00ab\u00a0La Vie d\u2019Ad\u00e8le\u00a0\u00bb et marque par son authenticit\u00e9 et sa sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9. C\u2019est un r\u00e9cit d\u2019\u00e9mancipation qui va toujours de l\u2019avant, croquant ses personnages secondaires sans trop les d\u00e9velopper pour illustrer le risque de cloisonnement et de double vie. She is also the most different of the trio, the quietest, the least feminine, and the best student. She devotes herself as much to her prayers as she does to soccer and her studies, which she takes very seriously. In high school, she&rsquo;s in a rather masculine environment. She talks and earns respect like her male friends, but avoids drawing too much attention to herself. Despite being in a relationship, she is not really in love and deep down, she knows without a shadow of a doubt. But where she comes from, this is something singularly complicated to accept and, she thinks, impossible to articulate. Starting college and city life in the French capital opens up a new world for her, shaking up her beliefs and values, and perhaps allowing her to free herself and become her own&#8230;<\/p><p>Hafsia Herzi&rsquo;s third film behind the camera stands out as a universal story, both in its existential acceptance and in its exploration of the still highly taboo subject of sexuality and religion, but above all, this is truly a portrait. Adapted from Fatima Daas&rsquo; autobiographical novel, \u201cThe Little Sister\u201d paints the portrait of a young girl who is French, Arab, suburban, Muslim, and lesbian. It is the portrait of a young woman torn between her faith and her desires, a fragment of life that explores the complexity of her situation between high school and college, between childhood and adulthood, a turning point of personal exploration and questioning that here builds an inner journey over the course of a year, shaped by seasonal ellipses.<\/p><p>After winning a C\u00e9sar Award last February for \u201cBorgo\u201d, Hafsia Herzi crafts a beautiful film that blends a naturalistic and romantic atmosphere with lovely color schemes (especially at night or in bars) and a delightful score by Amine Bouhafa. The actress-director really showcases her characters on screen, shooting bodies with love and tenderness, and their tears with modesty and gentleness. Her directing style becomes freer, like her main character, once she starts college, with fewer close-ups and more shots of her character as part of a group or a crowd. While it could perhaps have explored more deeply the difficult coexistence, conciliation, and combination of religion and sexual orientation, faith and desire, or tradition and freedom, as well as the impact of this silent choice on the family and the trio of sisters, its storyline is nonetheless very accomplished in a narrative that always takes us into the unknown and the unsure, without
