l\u2019international pour la qualit\u00e9 de son syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9, cette r\u00e9putation pourrait bien \u00eatre mise \u00e0 mal par la p\u00e9nurie imminente de soignants dont le pays souffre, tout comme nombre de ses voisins occidentaux. La France conna\u00eet d\u2019ailleurs elle-aussi une p\u00e9nurie similaire avec notamment une baisse de 40% du nombre de candidats aides-soignants ces quatre derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es alors que la part de la population ayant plus de 75 ans aura doubl\u00e9 entre 2020 et 2030. Et dans la mesure o\u00f9 \u00e0 l\u2019image de ses voisins europ\u00e9ens, le pays helv\u00e8te compte 74% de femmes parmi ses employ\u00e9s \u00e0 temps plein dans les h\u00f4pitaux (bien que le ratio soit nettement plus \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 chez les m\u00e9decins, on compte nettement plus d\u2019infirmi\u00e8res que d\u2019infirmiers), le d\u00e9bat rev\u00eat alors \u00e9galement une dimension f\u00e9ministe. Pour mettre en lumi\u00e8re ces d\u00e9fis majeurs que rencontre un secteur hospitalier en manque de moyens et en sous-effectif, la sc\u00e9nariste et r\u00e9alisatrice suisse Petra Volpe nous plonge ici en apn\u00e9e dans une garde de fin de journ\u00e9e du point de vue d\u2019une infirmi\u00e8re d\u00e9vou\u00e9e arpentant inlassablement les couloirs de son service d\u2019oncologie, une urgence chassant l\u2019autre, en tentant d\u2019apporter humanit\u00e9 et chaleur \u00e0 chacun de ses patients.<\/p><p>La cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 du r\u00f4le principal \u00e9tait donc essentielle tant le film nous embarque avec elle dans le rythme effr\u00e9n\u00e9 de son quotidien. Leonie Benesch (Le Ruban Blanc ; La Salle des Profs) porte ainsi le film par sa pr\u00e9sence naturelle, juste dans sa posture, pr\u00e9cise dans ses gestes, r\u00e9ussissant \u00e0 nouveau \u00e0 incarner v\u00e9ritablement et compl\u00e8tement ce personnage dont on \u00e9pouse le point de vue. \u00c9crit au cordeau avec d\u2019intelligents dialogues \u00e0 la fois coh\u00e9rents et limpides, c\u2019est un film clinique, tr\u00e8s document\u00e9 et minutieux dans sa qu\u00eate d\u2019authenticit\u00e9 jusque dans ses d\u00e9cors o\u00f9 rien n\u2019est laiss\u00e9 au hasard, fort d\u2019une sc\u00e9nographie tr\u00e8s ma\u00eetris\u00e9e rendant claire l\u2019architecture des lieux pour nous faire vivre avec elle les p\u00e9rip\u00e9ties de la protagoniste et nous faire ainsi ressentir sa course contre la montre perp\u00e9tuelle.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-22383 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Snapshot_4626.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Snapshot_4626.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Snapshot_4626-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Snapshot_4626-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Snapshot_4626-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>\u00ab En Premi\u00e8re ligne \u00bb s\u2019impose ainsi comme le r\u00e9cit d\u2019une bataille visc\u00e9rale qui nous fait vivre l\u2019intensit\u00e9 des situations en quasi temps r\u00e9el avec une cam\u00e9ra port\u00e9e et toujours en mouvement lors de nombreux plans-s\u00e9quence qui transmettent une tension constante et un rythme haletant \u00e0 l\u2019image de la vigilance permanente de son personnage. Cette cadence crescendo et cette dimension immersive qui ne nous laisse que peu de r\u00e9pit dans ce huis-clos hospitalier forgent un film d\u2019urgence parfaitement orchestr\u00e9 par la cheffe-op\u00e9ratrice Judith Kaufmann (Corsage ; La Salle des profs) et le monteur Hansj\u00f6rg Weissbrich (5 septembre ; She Said ; 7500), sans oublier la belle composition d\u2019Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch (Sans jamais nous conna\u00eetre ; L\u2019\u00e9valuation).<\/p><p>Petra Volpe signe ici une \u0153uvre d\u2019utilit\u00e9 publique qui rend avant tout hommage au petit personnel en premi\u00e8re ligne qui tient l\u2019h\u00f4pital public \u00e0 bout de bras et se bat pour la survie de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, dans un film id\u00e9alisant la profession \u00e0 travers un personnage qui aime son m\u00e9tier et l\u2019exerce par vocation \u00e0 l\u2019image du titre original (\u2018h\u00e9ro\u00efne\u2019). Si son choix laisse certaines probl\u00e9matiques de c\u00f4t\u00e9, elle prend le temps de s\u2019attarder sur l\u2019\u00e9norme responsabilit\u00e9 du m\u00e9tier et de faire \u00e9merger la singularit\u00e9 de chaque patient en entrecroisant petits et grands drames intimes pour conclure sur une magnifique sc\u00e8ne finale venant boucler la boucle sur le poids moral que portent sur leurs \u00e9paules ces travailleurs de l\u2019ombre. France is also experiencing a similar shortage, with a 40% drop in the number of nursing assistant candidates over the past four years, while the share of the population over 75 will have doubled between 2020 and 2030. And since, like its European neighbors, Switzerland has 74% women among its full-time hospital employees (although the ratio is much more balanced among doctors, there are significantly more female nurses than male nurses), the debate then also takes on a feminist aspect. To highlight these major challenges facing a hospital sector that is understaffed and poorly funded, Swiss screenwriter and director Petra Volpe takes us on a breathless journey through a late shift from the perspective of a devoted nurse tirelessly pacing the corridors of her oncology ward, rushing from one emergency to the next, trying to bring humanity and warmth to each of her patients.<\/p><p>The credibility of the lead role was therefore essential, as the film takes us along with her in the frantic pace of her daily routine. Leonie Benesch (The White Ribbon; The Teachers&rsquo; Lounge) drives the film forward with her natural presence, her precise gestures, and her accurate posture, once again truly and utterly embodying this character whose point of view we embrace. Sharply written with intelligent dialogue that is both coherent and clear, this is a clinical film, well-researched and meticulous in its pursuit of authenticity, right down to its sets, where nothing is left to chance. This crescendo rhythm and immersive dimension, which leaves us little respite in this closed hospital setting, create a film of urgency that is perfectly crafted by cinematographer Judith Kaufmann (Corsage; The Teachers&rsquo; Lounge) and editor Hansj\u00f6rg Weissbrich (September 5; She Said; 7500), along with Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch&rsquo;s (All of us Strangers; The Assessment) beautiful score.<\/p><p>Petra Volpe delivers a work of public value that above all pays tribute to the frontline staff who keep public hospitals running and fight for the survival of society, in a film that glorifies the profession through a character who loves her job and practices it as a calling, reflecting the original title (\u2018heroine\u2019). While her choice does leave certain issues aside, she takes the time to dwell on the tremendous responsibility of the job and to bring out the uniqueness of each patient by interweaving small and large personal dramas, wrapping up with a wonderful final scene that brings full circle the emotional weight carried on the shoulders by these unsung heroes.
