et cin\u00e9matographique qu\u2019\u00e9tait \u00ab Thunderbolts \u00bb, on peut d\u00e9sormais entrevoir un renouveau chez <em>Marvel<\/em> avec ce deuxi\u00e8me succ\u00e8s de suite qui plaira autant aux fans des comics qu\u2019\u00e0 un public plus large. Cette nouvelle it\u00e9ration des \u00ab\u00a0Quatre Fantastiques\u00a0\u00bb s\u2019inscrit dans un univers parall\u00e8le de la chronologie principale Marvel permettant d\u2019\u00e9viter une \u00e9ni\u00e8me <em>origin-story<\/em> et d\u2019inclure un potentiel nouveau public avec un r\u00e9cit ind\u00e9pendant des 36 autres films de cette franchise \u00e0 bout de souffle.<\/p><p>Le film rentre ainsi directement dans son sujet en introduisant un monde o\u00f9 nos h\u00e9ros y sont d\u2019ores et d\u00e9j\u00e0 la premi\u00e8re et unique \u00e9quipe de super-h\u00e9ros depuis quatre ans. Bien que l\u2019introduction soit succincte \u2013 le public connaissant majoritairement l\u2019histoire de ces personnages \u2013, le contexte y est suffisant pour ne pas sembler manquer d\u2019informations essentielles et nous raconter une grande aventure cosmique \u00e0 hauteur d\u2019homme. Car c\u2019est un film \u00e9tonnamment intimiste pour un blockbuster de cette ampleur aux enjeux de survie plan\u00e9taire. Pas plus de cinq ou six acteurs autour d\u2019un quasi-huis-clos sur ce quatuor h\u00e9ro\u00efque appr\u00e9hend\u00e9 comme un v\u00e9ritable noyau familial. S\u2019ils sont certes des humains dot\u00e9s de super-pouvoirs, les protagonistes sont aussi ici des membres aussi imparfaits soient-ils d\u2019une famille bel et bien unie. Le film ancre ainsi sa menace fantasmagorique d\u2019un d\u00e9voreur de plan\u00e8tes \u2013 deuxi\u00e8me plus iconique m\u00e9chant des 4 Fantastiques qui voit notre ch\u00e8re Terre comme son prochain quatre-heures \u2013 au c\u0153ur de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 de ses personnages.<\/p><p>Les comics ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crits dans les ann\u00e9es 1960, ce second film de Matt Shakman (WandaVision) nous embarque dans un monde parall\u00e8le r\u00e9tro-futuriste aux airs des sixties dans une atmosph\u00e8re tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussie port\u00e9e par la musique de Michael Giacchino, les d\u00e9cors de Kasra Farahani (Loki), et des effets visuels notamment pratiques comme la fus\u00e9e construite en maquette. Car oui \u00e7a para\u00eet inconcevable, mais le g\u00e9ant Galactus est presque trop petit. Alors oui son design est certes beaucoup plus fid\u00e8le au comics que le nuage cosmico-toxique des opus pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents, mais il manque quelque peu de gigantesque, et par cons\u00e9quent, probablement aussi d\u2019effroi. De plus, la r\u00e9alisation peine quelque peu \u00e0 donner chair aux pouvoirs de ses h\u00e9ros sans avoir v\u00e9ritablement de sc\u00e8ne marquante.<\/p><p>Bref, c\u2019est dans l\u2019ensemble r\u00e9ussi avec une trame coh\u00e9rente, une intrigue rythm\u00e9e avec humour et un r\u00e9cit abordant \u00e0 nouveau apr\u00e8s \u00ab\u00a0Thunderbolts\u00a0\u00bb la notion d\u2019h\u00e9ro\u00efsme un peu diff\u00e9remment \u00e0 travers plus d\u2019intellect que d\u2019affrontement. N\u00e9anmoins le sc\u00e9nario manque un peu de substance \u00e0 la fois dans ses th\u00e9matiques abord\u00e9es en pr\u00f4nant l\u2019individu au sens du collectif, et dans son d\u00e9veloppement de personnage avec des personnages secondaires quasiment inexistants et deux membres du quatuor assez \u00e9dulcor\u00e9s\u00a0et plus parfaits qu\u2019avant avec un Johnny Storm plus sympathique et un Ben Grimm moins tortur\u00e9.<\/p><p>Alors oui <em>Marvel<\/em> est de retour, et c\u2019est tr\u00e8s clairement une version des \u00ab\u00a0Quatre Fantastiques\u00a0\u00bb bien plus appr\u00e9ciable que les pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes, mais soyons-clairs la meilleure version reste toujours l\u2019officieuse de Brad Bird \u2013 au point de rappeler fortement l\u2019intrigue des \u00ab\u00a0Indestructibles 2\u00a0\u00bb dans un univers d\u00e9j\u00e0 construit, o\u00f9 le c\u0153ur du r\u00e9cit ne tourne plus autour des pouvoirs des h\u00e9ros mais bien de leur b\u00e9b\u00e9. This latest iteration of \u201cThe Fantastic Four\u201d is set in a parallel universe to the main Marvel timeline, avoiding yet another origin story and opening up a potential new audience with a story that stands on its own from the 36 other films in this breathless franchise.<\/p><p>The film thus gets straight to the point, introducing a world where our heroes are already the first and only superhero team in the world for the past four years. Although the introduction is brief \u2013 most of the audience know the story of these characters \u2013 there&rsquo;s enough context not to feel like we&rsquo;re missing any essential information, and to tell us about a big cosmic adventure at human level. It&rsquo;s indeed a surprisingly intimate film for a blockbuster of this scale, with global survival stakes. No more than five or six actors take part in an almost intimate setting, with this heroic quartet seen as a real family nucleus. The protagonists may be human beings endowed with superpowers, but they are also members of a close-knit family, however imperfect they may be. The film thus anchors its fantasy threat of a planet devourer \u2013 the second most iconic villain of the Fantastic 4, who sees our beloved Earth as his next happy meal \u2013 at the heart of its characters&rsquo; humanity.<\/p><p>As the comics were written in the 1960s, this second film from Matt Shakman (WandaVision) takes us into a retro-futuristic parallel world with a sixties feel, in a highly accomplished atmosphere brought to life by Michael Giacchino&rsquo;s music, Kasra Farahani&rsquo;s (Loki) sets and great visual effects including practical ones such as the model-built rocket. With its carefully crafted world and endearing characters played by a four-star cast \u2013 including Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us; Materialists), Vanessa Kirby (Pieces of a Woman; Napoleon), Joseph Quinn (A Quiet Place \u2013 Day One; Warfare) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear; Andor) \u2013 this film successfully draws us into its own world.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-21710 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Snapshot_4513.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Snapshot_4513.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Snapshot_4513-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Snapshot_4513-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Snapshot_4513-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>But if the atmosphere and the direction are overall well done, the staging sometimes lacks ideas and, unfortunately, gigantism. Yes, it seems inconceivable, but the giant Galactus is almost too small. Then again, his design is much more faithful to the comics than the cosmic-toxic cloud of previous films, but he&rsquo;s somewhat lacking in gigantism, and therefore probably also in fright. What&rsquo;s more, the direction struggles somewhat to flesh out the powers of its heroes, without really having any real outstanding scenes.<\/p><p>All in all, it&rsquo;s quite a success, with a coherent storyline, a well-paced plot with a sense of humor, and a story that once again, after \u201cThunderbolts\u201d, tackles the notion of heroism a little differently, through more intellect than brawling. Nevertheless, the script lacks a little substance both in its themes, advocating the power of the individual within the collective, and in its character development, with supporting characters virtually non-existent and two members of the quartet rather softened and more perfect than before, with a more likeable Johnny Storm and a less tortured Ben Grimm.<\/p><p>So yes, <em>Marvel<\/em> is back, and it&rsquo;s clearly a much more enjoyable version of \u201cThe Fantastic Four\u201d than the previous ones, but let&rsquo;s face it, the best version is still Brad Bird&rsquo;s unofficial one &#8211; so much so that it&rsquo;s strongly reminiscent of the plot of \u201cThe Incredibles 2\u201d in a universe already established, where the heart of the story no longer focuses on the heroes&rsquo; powers but rather on their baby&#8230; So, congratulations <em>Pixar<\/em>, pardon <em>Marvel<\/em>, well anyway <em>Disney<\/em>!<\/p><p>Rapha\u00ebl
