Le film montre comment des \u00eatres disqualifi\u00e9s par une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qui pr\u00e9f\u00e8re oublier qu\u2019ils existent, doivent tirer des bords pour faire preuve de d\u00e9brouillardise, d\u2019ing\u00e9niosit\u00e9 et de courage. Le propos est clair et le r\u00e9cit tr\u00e8s \u00e9pur\u00e9, de ces 90 minutes chrono sans d\u00e9tours \u00e0 la simplicit\u00e9 des plans qui nous fait construire le r\u00e9cit nous-m\u00eame, en passant par les non-dits du sc\u00e9nario avec un karaok\u00e9 en italien tel un h\u00e9ritage de leur p\u00e9riple migratoire. Le sort de ces enfants nous touche profond\u00e9ment dans la continuit\u00e9 d\u2019un cin\u00e9ma tr\u00e8s humain dont les fr\u00e8res Dardenne sont coutumiers. Si la d\u00e9monstration sociale reste moins forte qu\u2019un Ken Loach, ils sont toujours aussi bons dans leur cin\u00e9ma plein de sensibilit\u00e9, de charme et d\u2019affections au milieu de situations sociales r\u00e9voltantes.<\/p><p>Avec \u00ab Tori et Lokita \u00bb, les r\u00e9alisateurs donnent un visage \u00e0 une probl\u00e9matique sociale en s\u2019attelant \u00e0 bien opposer la singularit\u00e9 et la complexit\u00e9 aux discours simplistes. Ne serait-ce qu\u2019avec le titre compos\u00e9 du nom des deux protagonistes, ils remettant un peu de vie derri\u00e8re des enjeux trop souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9s \u00e0 la loupe g\u00e9opolitique. Les fr\u00e8res Dardenne choisissent par ailleurs de faire durer chaque sc\u00e8ne en conservant toujours un unique point de vue amplifiant ainsi le suspense et le sentiment d\u2019isolement de ces jeunes mineurs non accompagn\u00e9s et par l\u00e0 m\u00eame leurs efforts. N\u00e9anmoins, si le jeu des jeunes acteurs non professionnels (Pablo Schils et Joely Mbundu) rend Tori &amp; Lokita particuli\u00e8rement attachants, il s\u2019av\u00e8re \u00e9galement peu convaincant dans certaines sc\u00e8nes. De m\u00eame les dialogues peinent parfois en n\u2019\u00e9tant par exemple pas toujours coh\u00e9rents avec leur situation ou leur jeune \u00e2ge.<\/p><p>\u00ab Tori et Lokita \u00bb est donc un film tr\u00e8s \u00e9mouvant, assez \u00e2pre et plut\u00f4t sombre, \u00e0 la fois concis et haletant. The film shows how people discredited by a society that would rather forget they exist, have to be resourceful, ingenious and brave. The message is clear and the story is very pure, from the 90 minutes without any detours to the simplicity of the shots that make us build the story ourselves, as well as the unspoken words of the script with a karaoke in Italian as a legacy of their migration journey. The fate of these children touches us deeply in the continuity of a very human cinema that the Dardenne brothers are used to. If the social statement remains less strong than a Ken Loach, they are still as good in their cinema full of sensitivity, charm and affection in the middle of revolting social situations.<\/p><p>With \u201cTori and Lokita\u201d, the filmmakers give a face to a social issue by opposing singularity and complexity to simplistic speeches. Just with the title made of the names of the two protagonists, they inject a bit of life behind issues that are too often seen through a geopolitical lens. The Dardenne brothers also choose to make each scene last by always keeping a single perspective, thus amplifying the suspense and the feeling of isolation of these young unaccompanied minors and thereby their efforts. Nevertheless, if the acting of the young non-professional actors (Pablo Schils and Joely Mbundu) makes Tori &amp; Lokita particularly endearing, it also proves to be unconvincing in some scenes. Similarly, the dialogues sometimes fail to be consistent with their situation or their young age.<\/p><p>\u201cTori and Lokita\u201d is therefore a very moving film, quite harsh and rather dark, both succinct and breathtaking. Its raw and particularly relevant story is absolutely important to share and is definitely worth a brief smuggle to your local theater\u2019s border!<\/p><p>Rapha\u00ebl
