amoureuse et peine \u00e0 trouver sa voie professionnelle. Elle est alors amen\u00e9e \u00e0 jeter un regard r\u00e9aliste sur qui elle est vraiment \u2026<\/p><p>Joachim Trier revisite la com\u00e9die sentimentale en \u00e9vitant les clich\u00e9s habituels par le prisme du d\u00e9senchantement g\u00e9n\u00e9rationnel. Son film met en sc\u00e8ne douze moments qui englobent plusieurs ann\u00e9es de l\u2019existence de la jeune Julie, autour de la trentaine principalement, dressant un subtil portrait d\u2019un \u00eatre plein de contradictions au travers de ses activit\u00e9s professionnelles, ses liens de famille et surtout deux histoires d\u2019amour successives. Julie est versatile, mais ne sait pas vraiment ce qu\u2019elle veut et n\u2019a pas confiance en elle, elle est talentueuse mais peine \u00e0 s\u2019accomplir. Cela donne ainsi l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 \u00e0 Renate Reinsve de d\u00e9montrer toute sa palette de jeu qui lui valut d\u2019ailleurs le Prix d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation au Festival de Cannes 2021.<\/p><p>\u00ab Julie (en 12 chapitres) \u00bb propose donc une biographie existentielle et g\u00e9n\u00e9rationnelle teint\u00e9e de po\u00e9sie et d\u2019ironie mais dont la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 s\u2019approche finalement de la chronique quotidienne assez banale. L\u2019ensemble comporte n\u00e9anmoins trois belles sc\u00e8nes de cin\u00e9ma rendant en image un r\u00eave \u00e9veill\u00e9 o\u00f9 la lumi\u00e8re illumine le doute chez Julie, une nuit blanche teste les limites de la fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 et une hallucination explore son auto-perception.<\/p><p>Mais le film bascule vraiment dans son excellent dernier tiers qui propose un ton plus grave et un r\u00e9cit poignant tout en nous questionnant sur la culture d\u00e9mat\u00e9rialis\u00e9e et l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019un art amoral. L\u2019\u00e9pilogue de cet assez long roman est de plus tr\u00e8s juste au vu du parcours de Julie, nous laissant incertain entre un sentiment d\u2019\u00e9chec et d\u2019\u00e9panouissement.<\/p><p>\u00ab Julie (en 12 chapitres) \u00bb est donc un film riche qui nous transporte \u00e0 travers le spectre des \u00e9motions, de la joie au chagrin, du d\u00e9sir au doute, en passant \u00e9galement par l\u2019ennui malheureusement. She is then drawn to take a realistic look at who she really is&#8230;<\/p><p>Joachim Trier revisits the romantic comedy by avoiding the usual tropes through the prism of generational disenchantment. His film features twelve moments that encompass several years of young Julie&rsquo;s life, mainly around her thirties, drawing a subtle portrait of a being full of contradictions through her professional activities, her family ties and especially two successive love stories. Julie is versatile, but doesn&rsquo;t really know what she wants and doesn&rsquo;t have confidence in herself, she is talented but struggles to achieve her goals. This gives Renate Reinsve the opportunity to demonstrate her full range of acting, which earned her the Best Actress Award at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.<\/p><p>\u201cThe worst person in the world\u201d offers an existentialist and generational biography infused with poetry and irony, but the first half of the film borders on the trivial, everyday chronicle. Nonetheless, overall, the film includes three beautiful scenes of cinema, rendering in picture a waking dream where the light enlightens Julie&rsquo;s doubt, a sleepless night tests the limits of fidelity and a hallucination explores her self-perception.<\/p><p>But the movie really shifts in its excellent last third which offers a more serious tone and a poignant story while questioning us about dematerialized culture and the idea of an amoral art. The epilogue of this rather long novel is in addition very fair to Julie&rsquo;s journey, leaving us unsure between a feeling of failure and fulfillment.<\/p><p>\u201cThe worst person in the world\u201d is therefore a rich film that takes us through the spectrum of emotions, from joy to sorrow, from desire to doubt, and unfortunately also through boredom. It offers a rather didactic story that knocks on a few open doors, but shows true and profound insights into our current society, while being relatively restricted to the realm of
