Si le film divise entre \u00e9loge f\u00e9ministe et \u0153uvre pr\u00e9tentieuse, on ne peut que souligner et f\u00e9liciter les choix faits et assum\u00e9s de \u00ab Blonde \u00bb qu\u2019ils nous plaisent ou non.<\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s son splendide \u00ab L\u2019assassinat de Jesse James par le l\u00e2che Robert Ford \u00bb, Andrew Dominik peine \u00e0 concr\u00e9tiser son projet dans la mesure o\u00f9 ses films ne rapportent pas assez d\u2019argent et qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un audacieux projet assez radical et provocateur. Apr\u00e8s douze ans de travail et gr\u00e2ce au financement de <em>Plan-B<\/em> (la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Brad Pitt) et la diffusion de <em>Netflix<\/em>, son film fleuve r\u00e9inventant Marilyn voit enfin le jour et est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 aux festivals de Venise et Deauville. Il se place dans la continuit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u0153uvre de l\u2019auteur qui appr\u00e9cie tout particuli\u00e8rement les histories presque-vraies et s\u2019adonne \u00e0 d\u00e9construire les mythes am\u00e9ricains en projetant une autre v\u00e9rit\u00e9 pour red\u00e9couvrir, questionner et d\u00e9faire le mythe.<\/p><p>Ici il s\u2019agit de proposer un autre regard sur une ic\u00f4ne adul\u00e9e mais isol\u00e9e. Si Marilyn \u00e9tait une ic\u00f4ne de l\u2019usine \u00e0 r\u00eaves d\u2019Hollywood, \u00ab Blonde \u00bb nous en montre l\u2019envers du d\u00e9cor en se concentrant sur une dualit\u00e9 fondamentale : la diff\u00e9rence entre ce que nous sommes et ce que nous voulons bien montrer. C\u2019est ainsi l\u2019histoire d\u2019une femme qui a une image avec laquelle elle est en d\u00e9saccord profond, une femme qui affronte une actrice, la personne la plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre au monde r\u00e9duite \u00e0 l\u2019invisibilit\u00e9 sous les projecteurs et les flashs de photographes. Il devient alors de plus en plus difficile de d\u00e9m\u00ealer le vrai du faux et la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 de la fiction \u00e0 travers la recr\u00e9ation de c\u00e9l\u00e8bres images de la star am\u00e9ricaine \u00e0 travers son regard et son ressenti. Andrew Dominik nous plonge ainsi dans la t\u00eate de Marilyn\/Norma et imagine son calvaire. \u00ab Blonde \u00bb nous transporte alors entre onirisme et horreur et s\u2019enfonce dans un cauchemar, celui d\u2019une femme devenue le r\u00e9ceptacle de tous les fantasmes.<\/p><p>Pour transmettre cette psych\u00e9 et cette exp\u00e9rience si particuli\u00e8re, le r\u00e9alisateur d\u00e9montre un parti pris esth\u00e9tique tr\u00e8s fort en alternant la couleur et le noir &amp; blanc ainsi que tous les formats d\u2019image pour mettre en lumi\u00e8re les basculements psychologiques. Il propose un montage tr\u00e8s bien pens\u00e9 et ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019une narration fragment\u00e9e et de s\u00e9quences puissantes. Il exp\u00e9rimente, transformant des draps en chutes, des spermatozo\u00efdes en \u00e9toiles, distord les corps et les bouches, et enferme sa Marilyn dans un cadre toujours plus serr\u00e9. Elle est de tous les plans, tout le monde la regarde, la d\u00e9sire, l\u2019\u00e9pie : y compris nous les spectateurs de ce r\u00e9cit \u00e0 travers une cam\u00e9ra presque m\u00e9taphorique.<\/p><p>Dans ce jeu de double entre Marilyn et Norma, Ana de Armas (A Couteaux tir\u00e9s) livre une performance troublante et saisissante nous accompagnant dans la progression de cette figure tragique dont la cl\u00e9 de lecture s\u2019av\u00e8re \u00eatre son traumatisme d\u2019enfance entre absence du p\u00e8re et folie de la m\u00e8re. \u00c7a sent fort l\u2019Oscar ou tout du moins la nomination ! If the film divides between feminist praise and pretentious piece, we can only highlight and applaud the choices made and taken in \u201cBlonde\u201d whether we like them or not.<\/p><p>After his gorgeous \u201cThe Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford\u201d, Andrew Dominik struggles to bring his project to fruition because his films do not make enough money and because it is a daring project, quite radical and provocative. After twelve years of effort and thanks to the financing of <em>Plan-B<\/em> (Brad Pitt&rsquo;s company) and <em>Netflix<\/em>&lsquo;s distribution, his film reinventing Marilyn was finally made and presented at the Venice and Deauville festivals. It is in line with the author&rsquo;s work, who particularly enjoys near-true stories and devotes himself to deconstructing American myths by projecting a different truth to rediscover, question and unravel the myth.<\/p><p>Here the aim is to offer another look at a beloved but isolated icon. If Marilyn was an icon of the Hollywood dream factory, \u201cBlonde\u201d shows us the other side of the coin by focusing on a fundamental duality: the difference between what we are and what we want to show. It is the story of a woman who bears an image she profoundly disagrees with, a woman who confronts an actress, the most famous person in the world brought down to invisibility under the spotlight and the flashes of photographers. It then becomes increasingly difficult to tell the real from the fake and the reality from the fiction through the re-creation of famous images of the American star through her eyes and her feelings. Andrew Dominik takes us into the head of Marilyn\/Norma and envisions her torment. \u201cBlonde\u201d then transports us between dream and horror and delves into a nightmare, that of a woman who has become the object of all fantasies.<\/p><p>To convey this specific psyche and experience, the director displays a very strong aesthetic commitment by alternating color and black &amp; white as well as all aspect ratios to highlight the psychological shifts. He proposes a very well thought out and executed editing with a fragmented narration and powerful sequences. He experiments, turning sheets into waterfalls, spermatozoa into stars, distorting bodies and mouths, and enclosing his Marilyn in an ever-tightening frame. She is in every shot, everyone looks at her, desires her, spies on her: including us, the spectators of this story through an almost figurative camera.<\/p><p>In this game of doubles between Marilyn and Norma, Ana de Armas (Knives Out) delivers a disturbing and striking performance leading us in the progression of this tragic figure whose key insight lies in her childhood trauma between her father&rsquo;s absence and her mother&rsquo;s insanity. There is a strong smell of an Oscar or at least a nomination! And the very choice of a Cuban-Spanish actress to portray an American icon of the 1950&rsquo;s could sum up the intention of this rather upsetting and destabilizing movie, full of madness and
