Mais derri\u00e8re son succ\u00e8s sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, mille et une solitudes se cachent et ne se partagent pas \u2026<\/p><p>Magnus von Horn (Le Lendemain ; La Jeune Femme \u00e0 l&rsquo;Aiguille) dresse ainsi un portrait sans filtre de Sylwia sans jamais vraiment nous laisser la juger en nous montrant diverses perspectives avant que notre impression ne soit r\u00e9fut\u00e9e dans les secondes qui suivent. Le r\u00e9alisateur su\u00e9dois vivant en Pologne, ne tombe pas dans la caricature des r\u00e9seaux sociaux et signe un film faisant \u00e0 le fois preuve de lucidit\u00e9 et de compassion pour sa protagoniste dont la vie priv\u00e9e est devenue une profession et la qu\u00eate de sens est devenue un objectif d\u2019authenticit\u00e9. S\u2019il ausculte en effet un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me contemporain divisant quelque peu la population par tranche d\u2019\u00e2ge, \u00ab Sweat \u00bb ne donne cependant pas des le\u00e7ons de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et reste ainsi tr\u00e8s humain notamment dans son troisi\u00e8me acte qui fait basculer le r\u00e9cit.<\/p><p>S\u2019il est pertinent sur le fond, \u00ab Sweat \u00bb est tout aussi int\u00e9ressant dans sa forme par les choix de mise en sc\u00e8ne refl\u00e9tant le style de vie et le cheminement de son influenceuse. Il s\u2019ouvre en effet sur une sc\u00e8ne d\u2019entra\u00eenement fitness avec une cam\u00e9ra fr\u00e9n\u00e9tique au rythme des mouvements, des encouragements, et des story Insta de sa star avant de se poser progressivement dans la vie plus intime de Sylwia et de finir par un entra\u00eenement fitness cette fois-ci en cam\u00e9ra fixe et gros plan. Si les mouvements de cam\u00e9ra traduisent donc l\u2019\u00e9volution de son personnage, le cadrage renvoie \u00e9galement \u00e0 ce monde des apparences, de la diffusion, du partage avec beaucoup de plans sur des miroirs o\u00f9 le reflet est tant\u00f4t le double du personnage tant\u00f4t notre unique perspective. M\u00eame dans la plus petite pi\u00e8ce du studio il y a toujours un miroir \u2026<\/p><p>Mais Magnus van Horn fait le choix de ne montrer aucun plan de m\u00e9dia (story, live feed, TV), si toute la vie de Sylwia se passe en ligne, il ne la montre qu\u2019\u00e0 travers le prisme de son t\u00e9l\u00e9phone. Le produit est donc vu de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur et il ne se concentre que sur son personnage, celle qui est derri\u00e8re l\u2019\u00e9cran. But behind her success on social networks, lots of loneliness are hidden and not shared &#8230;<\/p><p>Magnus von Horn (The Here After, The Girl with the Needle) draws an unfiltered portrait of Sylwia without ever really letting us judge her by showing us various insights before our initial impression is refuted in the following seconds. The Swedish director, living in Poland, does not resort to the social media send-up and delivers a movie that is both insightful and compassionate for its protagonist, whose private life has become a profession and whose search for meaning has become a goal of authenticity. If it indeed examines a contemporary ecosystem that divides the population somewhat by age group, \u201cSweat\u201d does not however give any lessons on society and thus remains very humane, especially in its third act that tips the narrative.<\/p><p>If it&rsquo;s relevant on the content, \u201cSweat\u201d is also worthwhile in its staging choices reflecting the lifestyle and the path of its influencer. It opens on a fitness training scene with a frenetic camera following the pace of movements, cheers, and Instagram stories of its star before gradually settling in the more intimate life of Sylwia and ending with a fitness training this time in a fixed and close-up shot. If the camera movements therefore translate the evolution of his character, the framing also refers to this world of appearances, broadcasting, and sharing with many shots on mirrors where the reflection is at times the double of the character and at other times our sole perspective. Even in the smallest room of the studio there is always a mirror&#8230;<\/p><p>But Magnus van Horn chooses not to show any media shots (story, live feed, TV), if the whole life of Sylwia is online, he shows it only through the lens of her phone. The object is therefore seen from the outside and he only focuses on his character, the one behind the screen. In doing so, he is strongly favored by the excellent performance of Magdalena Kolesnik, who is in every scene and manages to radiate intensity in every register, sometimes just with her
