Mais ce premier \u00e9pisode \u00ab Old friends not forgotten \u00bb se distingue pour moi des autres \u00e9pisodes \u00ab The Clone Wars \u00bb tout aussi \u00e9piques que celui-ci, par la qualit\u00e9 de son sc\u00e9nario. Il s\u2019agit en effet d\u2019un des \u00e9pisodes les mieux \u00e9crits de la s\u00e9rie pour moi. L\u2019\u00e9pisode est ainsi rempli de nombreuses r\u00e9f\u00e9rences \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble du vaste univers qu\u2019est devenu <em>Star Wars<\/em>, mais \u00e9tant le d\u00e9but de la conclusion de la s\u00e9rie, il est \u00e9galement \u00e9crit en miroir du premier arc de cette m\u00eame s\u00e9rie.<\/p><p>Tout d\u2019abord, il s\u2019inscrit dans la continuit\u00e9 des autres contenus <em>Star Wars<\/em> que ce soit s\u00e9ries, films ou comics. Nous avons ainsi une br\u00e8ve apparition de Kanan Jarrus encore connu sous le nom de Caleb Dume aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de son ma\u00eetre Jedi au d\u00e9but de l\u2019\u00e9pisode. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un des personnages principaux d\u2019une autre s\u00e9rie de l\u2019univers Star Wars qui se d\u00e9roule une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es apr\u00e8s. Nous avons \u00e9galement la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019Ursa Wren, la m\u00e8re de Sabine de la s\u00e9rie \u00ab Star Wars Rebels \u00bb, ainsi que la mention de Fulcrum en la personne d\u2019Ahsoka et plus tard de l\u2019agent Kallus dans \u00ab Rebels \u00bb. Nous assistons de plus, \u00e0 une mise en condition de Jedi tels qu\u2019Aayla Secura sur Felucia ou Plo Koon sur Cato Nemoidia aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des clones qui les \u00e9limineront prochainement durant l\u2019ordre 66, \u00e9v\u00e9nement auquel nous assistons dans \u00ab Star Wars Episode III : La Revanche des Sith \u00bb. Les graphismes se rapprochent d\u2019ailleurs de plus en plus de ceux du film pour ces sc\u00e8nes. A noter \u00e9galement, la mention de la protection du chancelier par Shaak Ti et leur poursuite contre Grievous qui fait ainsi r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux tout premiers dessins anim\u00e9s \u00ab clone wars \u00bb de Genndy Tartakovsky sortis en 2003. Enfin concernant les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences \u00e0 l\u2019univers, le personnage de Gar Saxon est pr\u00e9sent ainsi que son lieutenant Rook Kast. Le premier deviendra Vice-Roi de Mandalore en tant que main de l\u2019Empereur sous l\u2019Empire durant la s\u00e9rie \u00ab Rebels \u00bb et la seconde dirigera les super-commandos mandaloriens affili\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019Empire et elle participa \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vasion de Maul dans le comics \u00ab Son of Dathomir \u00bb.<\/p><p>Un ensemble aussi vaste de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences ravit donc tout fan de l\u2019univers. Mais je ne peux m\u2019emp\u00eacher de remarquer que le fan service n\u2019est pas la seule qualit\u00e9 sc\u00e9naristique de l\u2019\u00e9pisode. D\u2019une part, les personnages y sont particuli\u00e8rement bien d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s. Nous sommes arriv\u00e9s apr\u00e8s sept saisons \u00e0 un point o\u00f9 les points de vue et divergences de chacun sont clairement \u00e9tablis et un message clair peut \u00eatre tir\u00e9. Les ruses habituelles d\u2019Anakin se combinent alors \u00e0 sa grande ma\u00eetrise de la force lorsqu\u2019il d\u00e9vie instinctivement tout laser venant dans sa direction. Mais son attachement \u00e0 son ex-apprentie Ahsoka reste tr\u00e8s visible lorsque celle-ci cherche pourtant \u00e0 montrer aux Jedi qu&rsquo;ils ont perdu leur voie et ne font plus que de la politique. D\u00e9j\u00e0, l\u2019\u00e9pisode d\u00e9bute par l\u2019ancien logo de <em>Lucasfilm<\/em>, ne comporte pas de vrai g\u00e9n\u00e9rique de fin et ne respecte pas le format de 22 minutes des \u00e9pisodes de la s\u00e9rie. Pourquoi ? Parce-que le dernier arc de la s\u00e9rie est construit tel un film. La s\u00e9rie d\u00e9buta par un film sorti en 2008, elle se conclue \u00e9galement par un. Et c\u2019est loin d\u2019\u00eatre le seul miroir du premier film. \u00ab Old friends not forgotten \u00bb d\u00e9bute ainsi par une bataille quelconque opposant les forces clones aux dro\u00efdes sur un pont. Les clones utilisent la m\u00eame tactique que sur Christophsis dans le premier film et sont une nouvelle fois en inf\u00e9riorit\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et en grand danger. Obi-Wan s\u2019\u00e9tait alors rendu pour permettre \u00e0 Anakin de ruser. Cette fois c\u2019est au tour d\u2019Anakin de feindre la reddition et de permettre \u00e0 Rex et ses clones de ruser. Les Jedi avaient d\u00fb arr\u00eater le combat pour accueillir une navette qui venait d\u00e9poser une surprise : une nouvelle apprentie, Ahsoka Tano. Anakin et Obi-Wan doivent alors arr\u00eater leur combat pour se rendre en navette au croiseur pour une surprise : le retour d\u2019Ahsoka. La s\u00e9rie d\u00e9bute, elle descend sur la plan\u00e8te et vers nous, la s\u00e9rie se conclue nous montons jusqu\u2019\u00e0 elle. Ce n\u2019est pas fini ! Une fois en approche de Mandalore, Ahsoka fait la course avec Rex jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la surface comme elle le faisait avec son ma\u00eetre pour gravir le temple de Teth dans le premier film. Elle \u00e9tait en pleine ascension et nous la retrouvons maintenant en pleine descente. Et cette chute ne s\u2019arr\u00eate pas l\u00e0 tant elle descend vers les bas-fonds de la plan\u00e8te pour y retrouver Maul et \u00eatre prise dans son pi\u00e8ge tendu non pas pour elle mais pour Kenobi. O\u00f9 est-il ? Parti sauver Palpatine, son ancien ma\u00eetre conserve ainsi toujours le dessus sur Maul. Tel que Vador aurait dit : \u00ab la boucle est boucl\u00e9e \u00bb.<\/p><p>Les sc\u00e8nes de descente d\u2019Ahsoka sont donc des tr\u00e8s bons miroirs du pass\u00e9 et des premiers \u00e9pisodes de la s\u00e9rie mais sugg\u00e8rent aussi cruellement une descente vers l\u2019obscurit\u00e9 de Maul et le sombre ordre 66 qui, on le sait arrivera dans cet arc narratif et sera particuli\u00e8rement douloureux puisque la s\u00e9rie suit majoritairement les clones et Ahsoka. L\u2019ordre de la tuer sera alors une conclusion \u00e9pique, tragique et particuli\u00e8rement appropri\u00e9e. Si vous d\u00e9sirez conna\u00eetre l\u2019histoire d\u2019Ahsoka apr\u00e8s la s\u00e9rie et avant les \u00e9v\u00e9nements de la s\u00e9rie \u00ab Rebels \u00bb, un roman lui a d\u2019ailleurs \u00e9t\u00e9 consacr\u00e9 il y a quelques ann\u00e9es.<\/p><p>Tr\u00e8s clairement l\u2019un des meilleurs \u00e9pisodes de la s\u00e9rie de tout point de vue, donc, et un excellent d\u00e9but de conclusion par ailleurs. But this first episode \u00ab\u00a0Old friends not forgotten\u00a0\u00bb is different for me from the other episodes \u00ab\u00a0The Clone Wars\u00a0\u00bb just as epic as this one, by the quality of its script. It is indeed one of the best-written episodes of the series for me. The episode is thus filled with numerous references to the entire vast universe that Star Wars has become but, being the beginning of the conclusion of the series, it is also written in mirror of the first arc of the series.<\/p><p>First of all, it is in line with the continuity of the other SW content whether it is series, movies or comics. Thus, we have a brief appearance of Kanan Jarrus still known as Caleb Dume alongside his Jedi master at the beginning of the episode. He is one of the main characters of another series in the Star Wars universe which takes place about ten years later. We also have the presence of Ursa Wren, Sabine&rsquo;s mother from the \u00ab\u00a0Star Wars Rebels\u00a0\u00bb show, as well as the mention of Fulcrum in the person of Ahsoka and later Agent Kallus in \u00ab\u00a0Rebels\u00a0\u00bb. In addition, we see Jedi such as Aayla Secura on Felucia or Plo Koon on Cato Nemoidia being brought into \u00ab\u00a0condition\u00a0\u00bb alongside the clones who will soon eliminate them during Order 66, an event we see in \u00ab\u00a0Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith\u00a0\u00bb. The graphics are getting closer and closer to those of the movie for these scenes. Also noteworthy is the mention of Shaak Ti&rsquo;s protection of the Chancellor and their pursuit against Grievous, which is a reference to the very first cartoons \u00ab\u00a0Clone Wars\u00a0\u00bb by Genndy Tartakovsky released in 2003. Finally, concerning the references to the universe, the character of Gar Saxon is present as well as his lieutenant Rook Kast. The first will become Viceroy of Mandalore as one of the Emperor&rsquo;s hand under the Galactic Empire during the \u00ab\u00a0Rebels\u00a0\u00bb show and the second will lead the Mandalorian super-commandos affiliated to the Empire and participated in Maul&rsquo;s escape in the comic book \u00ab\u00a0Son of Dathomir\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p><p>Such a vast set of references will delight any fan of the universe. But I can&rsquo;t help noticing that the fan service is not the only script quality of the episode. On the one hand, the characters are particularly well developed. After seven seasons we have reached a point where everyone&rsquo;s points of view and differences are clearly established, and a clear message can be drawn. Anakin&rsquo;s usual tricks then combine with his great mastery of force when he instinctively deflects any laser coming in his direction. But his attachment to his former apprentice Ahsoka remains very visible as she tries to show them that the Jedi have lost their way and are now just playing politics. Obi-Wan Kenobi&rsquo;s positions are always right in the moment but wrong in hindsight as his character will understand later.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15959 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Snapshot_2474.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Snapshot_2474.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Snapshot_2474-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Snapshot_2474-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Snapshot_2474-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>On the other hand, as I said, the first episode of the end is built in mirror of the very first arc of the series. First, the episode starts with the old <em>Lucasfilm<\/em> logo, doesn&rsquo;t have a real end credits and doesn&rsquo;t respect the 22 minutes format of the series&rsquo; episodes. Why is that? Because the last arc of the series is built like a movie. The series began with a film released in 2008, it also ends with one. And this is far from being the only mirror of the first movie. \u00ab\u00a0Old Friends Not Forgotten\u00a0\u00bb begins with a random battle between clone forces and droids on a bridge. The clones use the same tactics as on Christophsis in the first film and are once again outnumbered and in great danger. Obi-Wan had surrendered to allow Anakin to trick him. This time it&rsquo;s Anakin&rsquo;s turn to feign surrender and allow Rex and his clones to trick the droids. The Jedi had to stop the fight to welcome a shuttle that had come to drop off a surprise: a new apprentice, Ahsoka Tano. Anakin and Obi-Wan must then stop the fight once again in order to shuttle to the cruiser for a surprise: Ahsoka&rsquo;s return. The series begins, she goes down to the planet and towards us, the series ends, we go up to her. It&rsquo;s not over! Once approaching Mandalore, Ahsoka races with Rex to the surface as she does with her master to climb the temple of Teth in the first film. She was ascending, and we now find her descending. And this fall doesn&rsquo;t stop there as she descends to the underworld to find Maul and be caught in his trap set not for herself but for Kenobi. Where is he now? On his way to save Palpatine, his former master then still has the upper hand over Maul. As Vader would have said, \u201cthe circle is now complete\u201d.<\/p><p>Ahsoka&rsquo;s descent scenes are therefore very good mirrors of the past and the first episodes of the series but also cruelly suggest a descent towards the darkness of Maul and the sinister order 66 which, as we know, will happen in this story arc and will be particularly painful since the series mostly follows the clones and Ahsoka. The order to kill her will then be an epic, tragic and particularly appropriate conclusion. If you want to know Ahsoka&rsquo;s story after the series and before the events of the \u00ab\u00a0Rebels\u00a0\u00bb series, a novel was dedicated to her story a few years ago.<\/p><p>Clearly one of the best episodes of the series from every point of view, and an excellent start to the conclusion too.
