Chiwetel Ejiofor y interpr\u00e8te le r\u00f4le de Ricardo Dar\u00edn notamment aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Julia Roberts et Nicole Kidman. Le film transpose l\u2019intrigue \u00e0 Los Angeles en 2002 dans un contexte post 9\/11 d\u2019enqu\u00eate anti-terroriste s\u2019appropriant ainsi le d\u00e9cor. Si le film argentin s\u2019inspirait d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u2019un roman d\u2019Eduardo Sacheri, le sc\u00e9nariste et r\u00e9alisateur de ce remake Billy Ray prend de nouvelles libert\u00e9s en changeant la relation du protagoniste (l\u2019enqu\u00eateur) avec la victime qui n\u2019est autre que la fille de sa coll\u00e8gue. Et si la trame de l\u2019intrigue et le <em>twist<\/em> final restent les m\u00eames, cela am\u00e8ne \u00e9videmment des changements dans le d\u00e9veloppement des personnages (notamment leur conclusion) qui renouvelle ainsi suffisamment le film. Les personnages sont de plus tous tr\u00e8s bien interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s ce qui est un autre point positif de ce remake. N\u00e9anmoins si le film apporte bel et bien de nouvelles choses, il s\u2019\u00e9loigne \u00e9galement de l\u2019original et perd de vue la raison de son titre qui ne se trouve malheureusement plus justifi\u00e9e.<\/p><p><strong>\u00ab Sous un autre Jour \u00bb<\/strong> (2017)<\/p><p>\u00ab\u00a0Sous un autre jour\u00a0\u00bb est inspir\u00e9 du film fran\u00e7ais \u00ab\u00a0Intouchables\u00a0\u00bb qui a fait exploser le box-office en 2011. Kevin Hart reprend le r\u00f4le d&rsquo;Omar Sy, Bryan Cranston celui de Fran\u00e7ois Cluzet et Nicole Kidman celui d&rsquo;Audrey Fleurot. Le film se situe \u00e0 New-York et est constitu\u00e9 pour la majeure partie de plans-pour-plans mais avec des changements notables sur le poids de certaines sc\u00e8nes. Les personnages sont \u00e9galement modifi\u00e9s, Kevin Hart est fait p\u00e8re de famille et cet aspect est enlev\u00e9 au personnage de Cranston. Celui de Kidman est aussi chang\u00e9 ce qui change drastiquement la conclusion du film fran\u00e7ais. De mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, le film n\u2019est pas convaincant et manque l\u2019ambiance apport\u00e9e par Omar Sy dans l\u2019original. Si cette approche se distingue de celle consistant \u00e0 adapter le r\u00e9cit dans le cadre d\u2019origine, il est important de garder \u00e0 l\u2019esprit qu\u2019il est possible de faire un bon remake que ce soit avec l\u2019une ou l\u2019autre de ces approches, le cadre et d\u00e9cor du pays d\u2019origine ou l\u2019adaptation \u00e0 un d\u00e9cor et la culture nationale am\u00e9ricaine. \u00ab Mill\u00e9nium : Les Hommes qui n&rsquo;aimaient pas les femmes \u00bb et \u00ab Insomnia \u00bb sont des exemples de bons remakes utilisant respectivement ces deux approches diff\u00e9rentes. \u00ab Aux yeux de tous \u00bb et \u00ab Sous un autre jour \u00bb se distinguent ainsi uniquement par leur qualit\u00e9 et l\u2019importance des changements apport\u00e9s. Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Ricardo Dar\u00edn\u2019s character along with Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman. The film takes the plot to Los Angeles in 2002 in a post-9\/11 context of an anti-terrorist investigation, thus appropriating the setting. If the Argentinian film was already based on a novel by Eduardo Sacheri, the scriptwriter and director of this remake Billy Ray brings new things by changing the relationship between the protagonist (the investigator) and the victim, who is none other than his colleague&rsquo;s daughter. And if the plot structure and the final twist remain the same, this obviously leads to changes in the development of the characters (including their conclusion) which fairly renews the film. The characters are also all very well portrayed, which is another positive point of this remake. Nevertheless, if the film does indeed bring new things, it also moves away from the original and loses sight of its title&rsquo;s reason, which is unfortunately no longer justified.<\/p><p><strong>\u201cThe Upside\u201d<\/strong> (2017)<\/p><p>\u201cThe Upside\u201d is based on the French film \u201cIntouchables\u201d that smashed box-office in 2011. Kevin Hart takes over Omar Sy\u2019s part, Bryan Cranston that of Fran\u00e7ois Cluzet and Nicole Kidman that of Audrey Fleurot. The film is located in New York and is mostly made up of shots-for-plans but with significant changes in the weight of some scenes. The characters are also altered, Kevin Hart is made a father and this feature is removed from the Cranston character. Kidman&rsquo;s is also changed, which radically changes the conclusion of the French film. Overall, the film is not compelling and lacks the vibe Omar Sy provided in the original. It seems not to find its tone and its changes only make it commonplace.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14804 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2205.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2205.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2205-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2205-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2205-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p><strong>The Remakes<\/strong><\/p><p>These two films adapted the setting and time of the story to place it in the United States today, but if one is satisfying, the other is clearly disappointing. If this approach differs from the one adapting the story in the original setting, it\u2019s important to keep in mind that it is possible to make a good remake with either one of these approaches, the setting and scenery of the country of origin or the adaptation to an American national set and culture. \u201cThe girl with the dragon tattoo\u201d and \u201cInsomnia\u201d are examples of good remakes using these two different approaches respectively. \u201cSecret in their eyes\u201d and \u201cThe Upside\u201d therefore only differ in their quality and the importance of the changes made. The relationship between the protagonists is more altered in the former than in the latter but to such an extent that a new relationship is created, while that of Hart and Cranston does not seem to
