center;\"><strong>Original mexicain vs remake am\u00e9ricain<\/strong><\/p><p>\u00ab Miss Bala \u00bb est un thriller mexicain sorti en salles en 2011 qui fit partie de la s\u00e9lection Un certain Regard au Festival de Cannes. Le film r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Gerardo Naranjo met en sc\u00e8ne dans le r\u00f4le principal, au c\u00f4t\u00e9 de No\u00e9 Hern\u00e1ndez, la jeune Stephanie Sigman qui a depuis notamment eu des r\u00f4les r\u00e9currents dans les s\u00e9ries \u00ab Narcos \u00bb et \u00ab S.W.A.T. \u00bb.<\/p><p>Un remake de ce film mexicain a par la suite \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Catherine Hardwicke. Le film sorti en salles en 2019 met en sc\u00e8ne dans le r\u00f4le principal Gina Rodriguez (Jane the virgin ; Quelqu\u2019un de bien) notamment au c\u00f4t\u00e9 de son homologue portoricain Ismael Cruz C\u00f3rdova et avec la participation d\u2019Anthony Mackie.<\/p><p>L\u2019histoire est la suivante : celle d\u2019une jeune femme participant \u00e0 un concours de Miss \u00e0 Tijuana qui est t\u00e9moin du meurtre de plusieurs officiers de police et de la DEA par le cartel de La Estrella dans un bar appel\u00e9 Le Millenium dans lequel elle s\u2019\u00e9tait rendue avec sa meilleure amie Suzu. Cherchant d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9ment son amie, elle est alors kidnapp\u00e9e par le cartel et son leader Lino pour qui elle accepte d\u2019effectuer des missions en \u00e9change de la recherche de son amie et de la vie sauve de sa famille.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15026 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>Si l\u2019on se base sur l\u2019avis des critiques, l\u2019original est un tr\u00e8s bon film et son remake un film tr\u00e8s moyen, alors voici pourquoi le remake de 2019 est un bon remake. Il est clair que l\u2019original est thriller dramatique quand son remake est un thriller d\u2019action. Le film mexicain est plus dur, plus sombre, plus r\u00e9aliste que son remake hollywoodien plus \u00ab propre \u00bb visuellement, plus riche dans ses d\u00e9cors \u00e9galement, avec une intrigue \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle. Si le remake de SONY s\u2019apparente plut\u00f4t \u00e0 un de leurs petits films d\u2019action tel que \u00ab Proud Mary \u00bb, le film de Naranjo de 2011 donnait plut\u00f4t une sensation proche de celle d\u2019un \u00ab Sicario \u00bb.<\/p><p>Si l\u2019histoire centrale est bien \u00e9videmment conserv\u00e9e, avec le kidnapping, la mission de mule et la corruption au Mexique, le remake se permet quelques changements sur le personnage principal qui est cette fois am\u00e9ricaine et n\u2019a pas de famille directe, ainsi que sur le sc\u00e9nario avec la puce de t\u00e9l\u00e9phone, l\u2019information de Jimmy ou le trajet \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re par exemple. Mais ces changements ne sont pas anodins et juste l\u00e0 pour am\u00e9ricaniser le remake, ils permettent d\u2019accentuer la tension et de changer le ton du film. L\u2019intrigue est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement simplifi\u00e9e \u00e9galement, tout en rajoutant un nouvel axe au film avec l\u2019intervention directe de la DEA. Dans le premier, la jeune fille est uniquement t\u00e9moin, elle est victime de tout ce qui lui arrive, dans le second, elle passe de victime \u00e0 actrice des \u00e9v\u00e9nements \u00e0 travers un c\u00f4t\u00e9 infiltration du film qui la fait jouer sur les deux tableaux. Dans l\u2019original il s\u2019agit d\u2019un homme relativement \u00e2g\u00e9 et bless\u00e9 dans presque tout le film qui vit simplement mais n\u2019h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 abuser de la jeune femme alors que dans le second c\u2019est un jeune et beau chef de cartel qui vit dans l\u2019opulence et dont la relation avec la jeune Miss est beaucoup plus ambigu\u00eb. Son personnage y est plus d\u00e9velopp\u00e9, plus humanis\u00e9 peut-\u00eatre mais surtout avec plus de similitudes avec le pass\u00e9 du personnage principal permettant aux deux de se comprendre. La fin des deux films est \u00e9galement totalement diff\u00e9rente autant en termes de ton que d\u2019implication pour l\u2019ensemble des personnages.<\/p><p>Le second est clairement plus classique dans son ex\u00e9cution, on se doute de ce qui va arriver, mais malgr\u00e9 son manque d\u2019originalit\u00e9, il fonctionne tout aussi bien que l\u2019original, peut-\u00eatre m\u00eame mieux. Le fait est, que d\u2019une part ils sont tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents dans la mesure o\u00f9 l\u2019un est un film tr\u00e8s noir et l\u2019autre plus un film d\u2019action et globalement plus positif, mais d\u2019autre part les changements et simplifications dans l\u2019intrigue ne sont pas n\u00e9cessairement des points n\u00e9gatifs car l\u2019histoire est, certes moins cr\u00e9dible, mais plus claire ce qui est un bon point.<\/p><p>\u00ab Miss Bala \u00bb de 2019 comporte donc plus d\u2019action, plus de tension et plus d\u2019intensit\u00e9, il est tr\u00e8s clairement plus divertissant que l\u2019original dont le fatalisme en faisait plus un drame r\u00e9aliste. Les deux films sont donc diff\u00e9rents et peuvent se regarder pour diff\u00e9rentes raisons, personnellement j\u2019ai pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 le remake (pour une fois), certes le c\u00f4t\u00e9 grand spectacle, plus action et plus divertissant aide s\u00fbrement, mais c\u2019est aussi que je l\u2019ai trouv\u00e9 plus captivant. On s\u2019attache plus aux personnages de la Miss et de son amie Suzu dans le remake que dans l\u2019original par exemple. Tout d\u00e9pend donc de ce que vous recherchez, plut\u00f4t du sensationnel ou plut\u00f4t un film noir suivant l\u2019unique point de vue du personnage principal. Et c\u2019est en cela que \u00ab Miss Bala \u00bb de 2019, est un bon remake : il reprend le m\u00eame concept, la m\u00eame intrigue de base mais en changeant le ton du film, son ex\u00e9cution et in fine son genre. Il apporte donc quelque chose de nouveau au mat\u00e9riau d\u2019origine, ce qui est essentiel pour un bon remake. The film was released in theaters in 2019 and stars Gina Rodriguez (Jane the virgin; Someone great) alongside her Puerto Rican counterpart Ismael Cruz C\u00f3rdova and with the participation of Anthony Mackie.<\/p><p>The story is about a young woman participating in a Miss contest in Tijuana who witnesses the murder of several DEA and police officers by the La Estrella cartel in a bar called The Millennium where she had gone with her best friend Suzu. Desperately looking for her friend, she is then kidnapped by the cartel and its leader Lino for whom she agrees to carry out missions in exchange for the search of her friend and the safety of her family.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15026 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2296-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>Based on the critics&rsquo; opinion, the original is a very good movie and its remake a very mediocre one, so here&rsquo;s why the 2019 remake is actually a good remake. It is clear that the original is a dramatic thriller when its remake is an action thriller. The Mexican film is tougher, darker, more realistic than its Hollywood remake which is visually \u00ab\u00a0cleaner\u00a0\u00bb, richer in its sets too, and with a larger scale plot. If SONY&rsquo;s remake is more like one of their little action films such as \u00ab\u00a0Proud Mary\u00a0\u00bb, Naranjo&rsquo;s 2011 film was more like a \u00ab\u00a0Sicario\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p><p>If the central story is obviously kept, with the kidnapping, the mule mission and the corruption in Mexico, the remake allows itself some changes on the main character who is this time American and has no direct family, as well as on the storyline with the phone chip, Jimmy&rsquo;s information or the trip to the border for example. But these changes are not insignificant and just there to Americanize the remake, they increase the tension and change the tone of the film. The plot is also slightly simplified, while adding a new angle to the film with the direct intervention of the DEA. In the first one, the girl is only a witness, she is a victim of everything that happens to her, in the second one, she goes from victim to protagonist of the events through an infiltration dimension of the film that makes her play on both sides. If she simply tries to survive in the original, in the remake she acts by herself.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15025 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2295.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2295.png 1500w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2295-300x155.png 300w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2295-1024x529.png 1024w, https:\/\/rsgproduction.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Snapshot_2295-768x397.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p><p>Lino&rsquo;s character is also altered in the remake. In the original he is a relatively old man wounded in almost the entire film who lives simply but does not hesitate to abuse the young woman, while in the second one he is a young and handsome cartel boss who lives opulently and whose relationship with the young Miss is much more ambiguous. His character is more developed, more humanized perhaps but especially with more similarities with the past of the main character allowing both to understand each other. The end of the two films is also totally different both in terms of tone and implication for the characters as a whole.<\/p><p>The second one is clearly more conventional in its construction, you can easily guess what is going to happen, but despite its lack of originality, it works just as well as the original, maybe even better. The point is, on the one hand they are very different in that one is a very dark film and the other is more of an action film and globally more positive, but on the other hand the changes and simplifications in the plot are not necessarily negative points because the story is, certainly less credible, but clearer which is a good point.<\/p><p>Therefore, the 2019\u2019s \u00ab\u00a0Miss Bala\u00a0\u00bb has more action, more tension and more intensity, it is clearly more entertaining than the original whose fatalism made it more of a realistic drama. The two films are therefore different and can be watched for different reasons, personally I preferred the remake (for once), certainly the more action and entertaining side certainly helps, but it is also that I found it more captivating. You get more attached to the characters of the Miss and her friend Suzu in the remake than in the original for example. So, it all depends on what you&rsquo;re looking for, rather the sensational or rather a film noir from the sole point of view of the main character. And that&rsquo;s why 2019\u2019s \u00ab\u00a0Miss Bala\u00a0\u00bb, is a good remake: it takes the same concept, the same basic plot but changes the tone of the film, its execution and ultimately its genre. So, it brings something new to the original material, which is essential for a good remake.
