Lyna Khoudri, \u00e0 nouveau t\u00eate d\u2019affiche apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9croch\u00e9 le C\u00e9sar du meilleur espoir dans l\u2019excellent \u00ab\u00a0Papicha\u00a0\u00bb, impressionne une nouvelle fois par l\u2019\u00e9nergie et l\u2019\u00e9motion qu\u2019elle transmet presque sans parler et d\u00e9montre une palette de jeu toujours plus large et prolifique ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de \u00ab\u00a0Gagarine\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0Novembre\u00a0\u00bb en passant par \u00ab\u00a0Nos Frangins\u00a0\u00bb et cette semaine en salles \u00ab\u00a0Les Trois Mousquetaires\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p><p>Jeune et talentueuse danseuse qui travaille comme femme de m\u00e9nage le jour et parie le soir sur des combats de b\u00e9liers, Houria est violemment agress\u00e9e un soir, ses r\u00eaves de carri\u00e8re s\u2019envolent alors et elle va devoir accepter son nouveau corps. Pour retrouver un sens \u00e0 sa vie, elle va choisir de justement inscrire la danse dans la reconstruction des corps bless\u00e9s \u2026<\/p><p>Ce film alg\u00e9rien partage un r\u00e9cit th\u00e9matiquement proche du r\u00e9cent \u00ab\u00a0En Corps\u00a0\u00bb avec une jeune danseuse au corps bris\u00e9 qui doit se reconstruire. Mais si le parcours de r\u00e9silience se suffisait \u00e0 lui-m\u00eame dans le film de C\u00e9dric Klapisch, dans \u00ab\u00a0Houria\u00a0\u00bb il s\u2019inscrit dans un contexte politique et social marqu\u00e9 des stigmates de la guerre civile et d\u2019une \u00e9conomie en berne. C\u2019est ainsi une \u0153uvre plus sombre entre le pardon national mal dig\u00e9r\u00e9 de la d\u00e9cennie noire et l\u2019\u00e9migration des zodiacs d\u2019une jeunesse en qu\u00eate d\u2019exil.<\/p><p>Moins \u00e9nergique et plus dramatique que \u00ab\u00a0En Corps\u00a0\u00bb, le film de Mounia Meddour choisit \u00e9galement une esth\u00e9tique diff\u00e9rente en filmant tr\u00e8s proche les corps, les visages, et les mouvements. Sans plans stables ou larges sur la chor\u00e9graphie de danse, celle-ci n\u2019est alors plus la mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re du film, c\u2019est bien le sc\u00e9nario qui occupe cette place avec une chor\u00e9graphie o\u00f9 se m\u00ealent l\u2019intime et le social. Pour le spectacle final, le sc\u00e9nario a ainsi d\u2019abord \u00e9t\u00e9 traduit en langue des signes pour que la chor\u00e9graphe Hajiba Fahmy r\u00e9interpr\u00e8te ensuite chaque signe en mouvement de danse.<\/p><p>S\u2019il s\u2019agit bien d\u2019un film de danse, c\u2019est aussi une \u0153uvre \u00e9mouvante qui traite de choc post-traumatique, de mutisme et de r\u00e9\u00e9ducation \u00e0 travers l\u2019histoire d\u2019une femme qui se tut apr\u00e8s son agression et dont la danse devint alors sa seule forme d\u2019expression. Mais au-del\u00e0 de ce portrait, \u00ab\u00a0Houria\u00a0\u00bb fait aussi celui d\u2019une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration qui essaye d\u2019avancer. Lyna Khoudri, again headlining after winning the Cesar for best newcomer in the brilliant \u201cPapicha\u201d, impresses once again by the energy and emotion she conveys almost without speaking and demonstrates a range of acting that has grown increasingly broad and prolific in recent years from \u201cGagarine\u201d to \u201cNovember\u201d as well as \u201cNos Frangins\u201d (Our Brothers) and this week in theaters \u201cThe Three Musketeers\u201d.<\/p><p>Young and talented dancer who works as a cleaning lady during the day and bets on ram fights at night, Houria is violently assaulted one night, thus shattering her dreams of a career and forcing her to accept her new body. To find a meaning to her life, she will choose to include dance in the rebuilding of injured bodies &#8230;<\/p><p>This Algerian film shares a thematically close story with the recent French film \u201cRise\u201d (En Corps) with a young dancer with a broken body who must rebuild herself. But if the journey of resilience stood on its own in Cedric Klapisch&rsquo;s film, in \u201cHouria\u201d it is set in a political and social context marked by the stigma of civil war and an economic stagnation. It is thus a darker picture between the poorly assimilated national forgiveness of the Black Decade and the zodiacs&rsquo; emigration of a youth in search of exile.<\/p><p>Less energetic and more dramatic than \u201cRise\u201d, Mounia Meddour&rsquo;s movie also chooses a different aesthetic by filming bodies, faces, and movements very tightly. Without stable or wide shots on the dance choreography, it is no longer the primary focus of the film, but instead the script takes that spot with a choreography where the intimate and the social mingle. For the final performance, the script was first translated into sign language so that the choreographer Hajiba Fahmy could then reinterpret each sign into a dance movement.<\/p><p>If it is indeed a dance film, it is also a moving work that deals with post-traumatic distress, mutism and rehabilitation through the story of a woman who fell silent after her attack and whose dance then became the only form of expression. But beyond this portrayal, \u201cHouria\u201d is also about a generation trying to move forward. And if it focuses on its title character, it turns her into an allegory of her country in a trilingual film (French, Arabic, sign) that embodies the permanent wounds of a nation through its characters representing an Algeria that is injured but still standing and must find its voice!<\/p><p>Rapha\u00ebl
