Le r\u00e9alisateur a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019adapter et de relier trois nouvelles-graphiques de l\u2019auteur am\u00e9ricain Adrian Tomine : Amber Sweet, Killing and dying et Hawaiian getaway. Entour\u00e9 de C\u00e9line Sciamma et L\u00e9a Mysius pour l\u2019\u00e9criture du sc\u00e9nario, Jacques Audiard a voulu donner une importance particuli\u00e8re aux femmes dans ce film. Nous sommes donc assez loin de l\u2019univers masculin qu\u2019il a l\u2019habitude de traiter, \u00e0 l\u2019image d\u2019un de ses plus grands films, \u00ab Un Proph\u00e8te \u00bb (2009).<\/p><p>Paris 13e, quartier des Olympiades. Emilie rencontre Camille qui est attir\u00e9 par Nora qui elle-m\u00eame croise le chemin de Amber. Trois filles et un gar\u00e7on. Ils sont amis, parfois amants, souvent les deux.<\/p><p>L\u00e0 o\u00f9 Audiard a tendance \u00e0 nous emporter avec une histoire riche et tumultueuse o\u00f9 on oublie presque la r\u00e9alisation, l\u00e0 c\u2019est plut\u00f4t l\u2019inverse, il y a un certain effort sur le travail de l\u2019image et des plans qui saute aux yeux. Il s\u2019essaye \u00e0 un genre compl\u00e8tement diff\u00e9rent. Le film est tr\u00e8s \u00e9rotique. Avec la musique \u00e9lectronique de Rone et ces plans en noir en blanc sur ces grandes tours du 13\u00e8me, un effet magn\u00e9tique se d\u00e9gage du film et relie ces personnages autour du d\u00e9sir. La photographie est magnifique. La mise en sc\u00e8ne de ces 4 trentenaires est marqu\u00e9e par une certaine modernit\u00e9. Nous sommes compl\u00e8tement immerg\u00e9s dans leur vie, o\u00f9 ils semblent un peu perdus. Ce sont des adultes dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s nourris de regrets et pas encore compl\u00e8tement pr\u00eats \u00e0 se caser. Au contraire ils se cherchent, veulent profiter, se sentir libres, vivre. La mani\u00e8re dont les histoires de ces 4 personnages se relient est plut\u00f4t int\u00e9ressante. Les corps sont bien film\u00e9s, ce qui accentue l\u2019intensit\u00e9. Aucune sc\u00e8ne n\u2019est inutile. Elles servent toutes au r\u00e9cit et aux intentions de r\u00e9alisation. La direction artistique est parfaite. C\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs le premier film de la jeune actrice Lucie Zhang et c\u2019est clairement une r\u00e9v\u00e9lation. The director decided to adapt and combine three short graphic novels of the American author Adrian Tomine: Amber Sweet, Killing and dying, and Hawaiian getaway. With C\u00e9line Sciamma and L\u00e9a Mysius writing the screenplay, Jacques Audiard wanted to put a special emphasis on women in this film. We are therefore far from the masculine environment that he usually deals with, as in one of his greatest films, \u00ab\u00a0A Prophet\u00a0\u00bb (2009).<\/p><p>Paris 13th, the Olympiades district. Emilie meets Camille who is attracted to Nora who herself crosses paths with Amber. Three girls and a boy. They are friends, sometimes lovers, often both.<\/p><p>Where Audiard tends to take us away with a rich and tumultuous story where we almost forget the direction, here it is rather the opposite, there is a definite work on the image and the shots that jumps to the eyes. He experiments with a completely different genre. The film is very erotic. With the electronic music of Rone and these black and white shots on these great towers of the 13th, a magnetic effect emerges from the film and connects these characters around desire. The cinematography is stunning. The staging of these 4 thirty-year-olds is stamped with a certain modernity. We are completely immersed in their lives, where they seem a little lost. They are graduated adults with regrets and not yet completely ready to settle down. On the contrary, they are looking for themselves, they want to enjoy, to feel free, to live. The way in which the stories of these 4 characters are connected is rather interesting. The bodies are well filmed, which accentuates the intensity. None of the scenes are useless. They all serve the story and the intentions of the director. The direction is perfect. This is actually the first film of the young actress Lucie Zhang and she is clearly a revelation. As for No\u00e9mie Merland, she delivers here one of her best performances.<\/p><p>Comedy, romance and drama intertwine to form a globally successful film that marks a turning point in the career of Jacques Audiard, where we did not necessarily expect him in this style.<\/p><p>Antoine
