Hamid est un rescap\u00e9 de la prison de Sa\u00efdnaya, connue pour \u00eatre un v\u00e9ritable mouroir o\u00f9 la souffrance et la torture ont atteint des niveaux inimaginables. Il cherche un certain Harfaz, responsable en grande partie des horreurs de ce lieu. Telle est l\u2019histoire des \u00ab\u00a0Fant\u00f4mes\u00a0\u00bb, mais que l\u2019on ne s\u2019y trompe pas\u00a0: bien qu\u2019inspir\u00e9 de faits malheureusement bien r\u00e9els, le film reste une fiction \u2013 particuli\u00e8rement troublante.<\/p><p>Incarn\u00e9 par Adam Bessa, le personnage de Hamid vit dans la solitude la plus totale, en proie \u00e0 ses traumatismes, \u00e0 ses cauchemars et \u00e0 ses angoisses, loin de son pays, loin de sa m\u00e8re, loin de son monde. Il ne peut faire confiance \u00e0 personne, pas m\u00eame aux membres de la diaspora qui parfois sont encore de m\u00e8che avec le r\u00e9gime de Bachar al-Assad ou avec des cellules terroristes. Avec un nombre tr\u00e8s restreint d\u2019individus anonymes, il trouve n\u00e9anmoins la force de poursuivre une enqu\u00eate des plus p\u00e9rilleuses\u00a0: celle d\u2019identifier et de faire arr\u00eater l\u2019un de ses bourreaux, r\u00e9fugi\u00e9 lui aussi en Europe sous une autre identit\u00e9.<\/p><p>Thriller sensoriel, \u00ab\u00a0Les Fant\u00f4mes\u00a0\u00bb nous opprime par un travail du son qui nous assourdit\u00a0: de simples froissements de pages qui se tournent, de longs crissements d\u2019un tramway qui s\u2019arr\u00eate le long d\u2019un quai, de r\u00e9p\u00e9titifs clinquements de couverts dans un restaurant, parviennent \u00e0 nous rendre mal \u00e0 l\u2019aise et \u00e0 nous fondre dans les pens\u00e9es traumatiques de Hamid. Lui dont les id\u00e9es bourdonnent en m\u00eame temps qu\u2019il \u00e9coute attentivement la voix voire sent l\u2019odeur des personnes qu\u2019il croise ou veut cerner. Avec ce m\u00e9andre de sensations et de sentiments qu\u2019exsudent Hamid et son environnement, le film nous \u00e9touffe. L\u2019apog\u00e9e de ce malaise est certainement la sc\u00e8ne-pivot de la rencontre entre Hamid et un personnage-clef, o\u00f9 la tension est \u00e0 son paroxysme.<\/p><p>L\u2019on en viendrait presque \u00e0 oublier que \u00ab\u00a0Les Fant\u00f4mes\u00a0\u00bb reste terriblement inspir\u00e9 de faits r\u00e9els. Hamid est en effet membre de la cellule ultra-secr\u00e8te Yaqaza (\u00ab\u00a0Le R\u00e9veil\u00a0\u00bb), compos\u00e9e de moins d\u2019une dizaine de discrets et h\u00e9ro\u00efques ressortissants syriens souhaitant rendre justice \u00e0 leur peuple au-del\u00e0 des fronti\u00e8res, et qui a notamment \u0153uvr\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019arrestation en 2019 en Allemagne de Ka\u00efs A., de son vrai nom Abou Hamza, dit \u00ab\u00a0Le Chimiste\u00a0\u00bb, criminel de guerre dont rien que le surnom glace le sang\u2026 Le long-m\u00e9trage, saisissant, rend ainsi hommage \u00e0 ces gens de l\u2019ombre qui, malgr\u00e9 les dangers et les traumatismes, continuent de lutter contre l\u2019impunit\u00e9 et pour la libert\u00e9.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Axel Chevalier<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-42480e6 elementor-widget__width-initial exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"42480e6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><p>Between Strasbourg, Germany and Lebanon, a Syrian refugee who fled repression and civil war tries to rebuild his life while on a meticulous and obsessive search for one of his captors. Hamid is a survivor of Sa\u00efdnaya prison, known as a real hellhole where suffering and torture reached unimaginable levels. He is looking for a certain Harfaz, who is largely responsible for the horrors of this place. Such is the story of \u201cGhost Trail\u201d, but make no mistake about it: although inspired by sadly real events, the film remains a piece of fiction \u2013 and a particularly disturbing one at that.<\/p><p>Played by Adam Bessa, Hamid&rsquo;s character lives in total solitude, prey to his traumas, nightmares and anxieties, far from his country, far from his mother, far from his world. He can trust no one, not even members of the diaspora, who may still be in league with the Bashar al-Assad regime or terrorist cells. With a very limited number of anonymous individuals, he nevertheless finds the strength to pursue a most perilous investigation: identifying and arresting one of his tormentors, who has also taken refuge in Europe under a different identity.<\/p><p>\u201cGhost Trail\u201d is a sensory thriller, oppressing us with its deafening sound design: the simple rustling of pages as they turn, the long screeching of a streetcar as it pulls up alongside a platform, the repetitive clinking of cutlery in a restaurant, all succeed in making us feel uneasy and melting us into Hamid&rsquo;s traumatic thoughts. His thoughts buzz as he listens attentively to the voices and even smells the people he meets or wants to get to know. The meandering sensations and feelings exuded by Hamid and his environment simply suffocate us. The climax of this unease is certainly the pivotal scene of Hamid&rsquo;s meeting with a key character, where the tension is at its height.<\/p><p>It&rsquo;s almost easy to forget that \u201cGhost Trail\u201d is inspired by real events. Hamid is indeed a member of the ultra-secret Yaqaza (\u00ab\u00a0The Awakening\u00a0\u00bb) cell, made up of less than a dozen low-profile, heroic Syrian nationals seeking to bring justice to their people beyond the borders, and who, among other things, worked towards the arrest in Germany in 2019 of Ka\u00efs A., whose real name is Abou Hamza, known as \u00ab\u00a0The Chemist\u00a0\u00bb, a war criminal whose nickname alone is chilling&#8230; This gripping feature film pays tribute to these people in the shadows who, despite the dangers and traumas, continue to fight against impunity and for freedom.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">Axel
