Le premier film \u00e9tait rapidement devenu une nouvelle r\u00e9f\u00e9rence du genre avec sa succession de sc\u00e8nes d\u2019action du d\u00e9but \u00e0 la fin nous en mettant plein la vue. Ce second volet poursuit donc la tradition et conserve le style du premier avec une cam\u00e9ra port\u00e9e incroyablement fluide, un objectif toujours proche de l\u2019action, et des plans-s\u00e9quence toujours plus longs et ambitieux.<\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s avoir miraculeusement surv\u00e9cu, le mercenaire australien jou\u00e9 par Chris Hemsworth s\u2019apparentant \u00e0 un Jason Bourne militaire aux capacit\u00e9s asgardiennes, se voit confier une nouvelle mission\u00a0: extraire de prison la famille d\u2019un gangster g\u00e9orgien. L\u2019ADN de cette \u2013 d\u00e9sormais \u2013 franchise \u00e9tant de filmer une sc\u00e8ne d\u2019extraction \u00e0 haut risque pleine d\u2019action dans un long plan-s\u00e9quence, \u00ab\u00a0Tyler Rake 2\u00a0\u00bb place la barre tr\u00e8s haut avec un \u00e9poustouflant faux plan-s\u00e9quence de 21 minutes nous transportant de l\u2019\u00e9vasion de prison \u00e0 une bataille sur un train en passant par une course poursuite foresti\u00e8re. Une telle s\u00e9quence n\u00e9cessitant une pr\u00e9paration, une anticipation, et une chor\u00e9graphie millim\u00e9tr\u00e9es, cette saga brille par sa perfection technique o\u00f9 la pr\u00e9cision des gestes et des d\u00e9tails (aussi bien dans les affrontements \u00e0 mains nues, les mouvements des personnages, ou le maniement des armes) renforcent un r\u00e9alisme sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent ainsi que l\u2019immersion du spectateur.<\/p><p>Si le r\u00e9alisateur et ex-cascadeur Sam Hargrave signe une nouvelle fois une \u0153uvre d\u2019art d\u2019action spectaculaire, le sc\u00e9nario \u2013 \u00e9crit par Joe Russo et adapt\u00e9 du roman graphique \u00ab\u00a0Ciudad\u00a0\u00bb \u2013 reste encore tr\u00e8s creux bien qu\u2019un peu de profondeur suppl\u00e9mentaire ait \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9e pour d\u00e9velopper le protagoniste. Mais dans la mesure o\u00f9 cet enrichissement de l\u2019intrigue reste tr\u00e8s conventionnel, le personnage taiseux et taciturne dont on ne savait presque rien dans le premier volet, avait presque plus de charme.<\/p><p>S\u2019il faut attendre pr\u00e8s d\u2019une demi-heure avant de rentrer dans l\u2019action, celle-ci ne s\u2019arr\u00eate plus jamais jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin de cette suite qui va (logiquement) plus loin que l\u2019original avec plus d\u2019affrontements, plus de lieux, plus de m\u00e9chants etc. Or, si la chor\u00e9graphie reste superbe, la surench\u00e8re risque de nuire au r\u00e9alisme propre \u00e0 la saga. L\u2019effet de surprise n\u2019\u00e9tant plus pr\u00e9sent, \u00ab\u00a0Tyler Rake 2\u00a0\u00bb ne r\u00e9ussit pas la claque qu\u2019\u00e9tait le premier bien que techniquement, celui-ci soit plus impressionnant. The first film quickly became a new reference in the genre, with its succession of jaw-dropping action scenes from start to finish. This second installment carries on the tradition, preserving the style of the original with incredibly seamless camerawork, close-up focus and ever longer, more ambitious oner shots.<\/p><p>After a miraculous survival, the Australian mercenary played by Chris Hemsworth, akin to a military Jason Bourne with Asgardian abilities, is given a new mission: to extract the family of a Georgian gangster from prison. As the DNA of this \u2013 now \u2013 franchise is to film a high-risk, action-packed extraction scene in one long sequence, \u201cExtraction 2\u201d sets the bar very high with a breathtaking 21-minute fake oner that takes us from a prison break to a train battle via a forest car chase. As such a sequence requires meticulous preparation, anticipation and choreography, this saga shines in its technical perfection, where the precision of gestures and details (as much in hand-to-hand combat as in the movements of the characters or the weapons handling) enhance the unprecedented realism and the viewer&rsquo;s immersion.<\/p><p>While director and former stuntman Sam Hargrave has once again delivered a masterpiece of spectacular action, the screenplay \u2013 written by Joe Russo and adapted from the graphic novel \u201cCiudad\u201d \u2013 is still very hollow, although a little extra depth has been added to develop the protagonist. But insofar as this plot development remains very conventional, the secretive and taciturn character, whom we knew almost nothing about in the first installment, almost had greater appeal.<\/p><p>Although you have to wait almost half an hour to get into the action, it then never stops until the end of this sequel, which (logically) goes one step further than the original, with more fights, more locations, more villains and so on. But while the choreography remains stunning, the excess risks undermining the saga&rsquo;s inherent realistic quality. With the element of surprise no longer felt, \u201cExtraction 2\u201d fails to live up to the hype of the first, even though it is technically even more impressive. Nevertheless, it remains a top-quality entertainment that achieves its mission successfully and leaves the door wide open for a third movie.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r
