« Shang-Chi et la légende des Dix Anneaux » est l’histoire de Shang alias Shawn, un maître des arts martiaux qui vient d’une famille particulièrement douée dans ce domaine. Son père le sort de sa retraite aux États-Unis, et tous doivent faire face à leurs problèmes de famille.
Ce film se distingue des autres Marvel. En effet, on n’assiste pas à la naissance conventionnelle d’un super-héros. On reconnait dans « Shang-Chi » l’inspiration des films de Kung fu chinois et l’introduction d’un univers fantastique, un genre qui n’était pas encore présent dans le MCU.
Enfin, on peut se demander ce qu’un film si différent apporte à la franchise. Tout d’abord, ce film a pour but de toucher le public chinois, mais ce n’est pas l’unique raison. On approfondit également la mythologie de l’univers Marvel. Et pour finir, Wong, le magicien introduit dans « Docteur Strange » permettra de faire le lien avec les autres héros de l’univers.

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is the story of Shang aka Shawn, a martial arts master who comes from a family particularly gifted in this field. His father brings him out of retirement in the United States, and they all have to deal with their family problems.
This film is unlike any other Marvel film. Indeed, we do not see the conventional birth of a superhero. We find in “Shang-Chi” the inspiration of Chinese Kung Fu movies and the introduction of a fantasy universe, a genre that was not yet present in the MCU.
Finally, one may wonder what such a different film brings to the franchise. First of all, this film is meant to reach the Chinese audience, but that’s not the only reason. It also deepens the mythology of the Marvel universe. And finally, Wong, the magician introduced in “Doctor Strange” will make the connection with the other heroes of the universe.
